(OTCBB: WIZD) and Skybound, Robert Kirkman's imprint at Image Comics, today announced that Billy Dogma creator Dean Haspiel has drawn the sixth in a yearlong series of Limited Edition Exclusive Variant Covers of The Walking Dead #1 comic, to be provided free to all full-price attendees at the inaugural Wizard World Comic Con Raleigh, March 13-15. Skybound’s The Walking Dead created by Kirkman, the groundbreaking, Eisner Award winning comic book series, continues to captivate audiences worldwide.

The exclusive The Walking Dead #1 edition will be produced in extremely limited quantities and is available at registration to fans at the Raleigh Convention Center only while supplies last. VIP attendees will receive an additional black & white sketch version of the comic.

Emmy award winner and Eisner Award nominee Haspiel created Billy Dogma , illustrated for HBO’s “Bored To Death,” was a Master Artist at the Atlantic Center for the Arts, is a Yaddo fellow, a playwright of the critically acclaimed “Switch To Kill,” and the co-founder of Hang Dai Editions. Haspiel has written and drawn many superhero comic books, including The Fox, Spider-Man, Batman, X-men, The Fantastic Four, Deadpool, Godzilla, Mars Attacks , and semi-autobiographical collaborations with Harvey Pekar, Jonathan Ames, Inverna Lockpez, and Jonathan Lethem.

New York, NY (March 2, 2015) – Actor and philanthropist Edward Norton is teaming up with Oskar Metsavaht, creative director of Brazilian fashion brand Osklen and founder of Instututo E, a non profit organization,based in Rio de Janeiro, focused on sustainable projects and Joe Einhorn, creator of social shopping platform Fancy to sell a special limited edition of the jacket worn by his ‘Birdman’ character, Mike Shiner, called “The Shiner.”   The jacket will be available exclusively via Fancy, and at Osklen stores in Miami and New Your City and all proceeds will go directly to benefit the Maasai Wilderness Conservation Trust, www.MaasaiWilderness.org, an environmental protection and sustainable development project that Norton has been involved with for 12 years.

Notes Norton:  “I met Oskar Metsavaht at a Rio Climate Conference.  We are both environmental activists and we became friends right away. I loved his Osklen board shorts and hoodies, but my favorite piece was this great guerilla style jacket.  Like something Che Guevara would have worn on a brisk day in Paris.  I wore it to rehearsals and (‘Birdman’s’ director) Alejandro Iñárritu loved it and made it Mike Shiner’s uniform.  He wanted one, Chivo, the film’s cinematographer wanted one, and so did many other friends so I approached Oskar with this idea.” 

Osklen had stopped making the coat, but Metsavaht agreed to make a limited number of this new special edition called “The Shiner.”  On creating the jacket, Oskar Metsavaht says: “Edward and I first connected over our shared passions for protecting the environment and surfing. Everyone at Osklen loved seeing our jacket on the classic character he created in one of the most audacious and original films in a long time. When Edward told us everyone wanted the coat, and proposed teaming up to turn that into something positive…we said ‘of course!’ Artistic passion and environmental sustainability are very much the spirit of Osklen, so this is a great fit.” Osklen will be donating the proceeds of the sales  to Massai Wilderness CT though Instituto E.

Norton then turned to Joe Einhorn at Fancy who agreed to sell the jacket exclusively on his site so that all proceeds could be directed immediately to the Maasai Wilderness Conservation Trust.  Einhorn says: “Fancy is all about people sharing the things they lovewith others. In Nain Rouge: The Red Legend, The Nain Rouge, translated from French as
The "Red Dwarf", made its home in an area later French settlers were to
name "Detroit". The Nain Rouge, as the “Steward of Straits”, was
responsible for keeping harmony and balance in the natural world but when
Antoine de Mothe Cadillac and French settlers arrived in the 1600s, a
quarrel began and soon this turned into an angry brawl. It is said that as
The Nain Rouge was chased away, a curse was flung from its lips onto the
entire region of Detroit. The curse, it is rumored, befalls anyone who
creates evil of their own will, and this will empower the Nain Rouge with
greater strength throughout the centuries. And during the course of these
centuries it has appeared to unsuspecting residences just prior to tragedy
or misery befalling the person or area… Today, Elly and Tom are two
average middle schoolers on a field trip to the Detroit Institute of Arts.
But a typical field trip takes a dangerous turn as they encounter the
mysterious creature called The Nain Rouge. And the real folktale legend
lives again.

Writers/Creators Josef Bastian and Carl Winans are the core behind the
Folktellers team as they spin a new genre, Cryptofolk. This style of
storytelling resurrects old and obscure folklore and legends from around
the world to present stories that are thought provoking, visually rich,
and accessible to a global audience. Josef wrote the Nain Rouge graphic
novel based on his three novels and Carl Winans performed editorial and
production duties.

Artwork is provided by Patrick McEvoy, a professional illustrator who is
also the co-host and producer of the Ninja Mountain Podcast. As a
freelance artist, he’s worked for Marvel, Sony, Blizzard, Wizards of the
Coast, Mattel, Fantasy Flight, American Greetings, White Wolf, Upper Deck,

Knights of the Skull: Tales of the Waffen SS is collection of tales
involving the German Waffen SS panzer tank units from World War II from
acclaimed creator and comic artist Wayne Vansant. Here Vansant brings us
