MCFARLANE COVERS THE INFINITE
Kirkman & Liefeld's The Infinite #2 to Feature Variant Cover by Todd McFarlane

Berkeley, CA – 12 August 2011 – THE INFINITE already boasts a creative team-up of epic proportions, but now Todd McFarlane, Image founder and creator of the ongoing SPAWN series, will be jumping into the fray with a one time only bloody new variant cover for THE INFINITE #2! The cover will feature an outstanding collaboration of pencils by Rob Liefeld and inks by McFarlane that manages to simultaneously show off the signature styles of both iconic artists on one cover!

In THE INFINITE, Robert Kirkman, Image Comics COO and creator of THE WALKING DEAD and INVINCIBLE, and Liefeld, creator of Deadpool, Cable and YOUNGBLOOD, have joined forces to create an action-packed tale of an aging freedom fighter who must travel back in time to team up with his 20-year-old self in order to save the world!

Liefeld commented on his recent collaboration with McFarlane: "It was a treat to work with Todd again! I couldn't wait to see how it would turn out, and it was better than I expected! We're both really pleased with this cover, and I think the fans will agree."

"If you remember Rob's work on New Mutants back in the early '90s, then you definitely remember the fantastic covers Rob and Todd collaborated on for that series," said Image Comics Publisher Eric Stephenson. "They make a great team, and considering this is only the second time they've done a cover together in over 20 years, it's a true event!"

THE INFINITE #2 (JUL110528), a 32-page full-color sci-fi action comic for $2.99, featuring several limited variant covers including the McFarlane variant (JUL118004), will be on sale in stores September 14.
