PREPARE TO BE PULPED: PULP RELEASES NEW TRAILER IN ADVANCE OF EXCLUSIVE XBOX RELEASE

London UK, 27th  February 2013 British comedy sensation, Pulp, released a new trailer today, containing previously unseen footage and commentary from real life Xbox users who’ve had a sneak peek of the film.  The indie feature film will be released exclusively in the UK on Xbox Live on 4th March after a successful international festival run.

Pulp, which has been described as 'Withnail and I meets Spaced' by influential SFX magazine, and “genuinely laugh-out-loud,” by Live For Films, has also drawn comparisons to films such as Superbad, thanks to its irreverent humour.  Pulp made the official selection of the prestigious Just For Laughs Comedy Film Festival, and was nominated for the 2012 London Comedy Film Festival Discovery Award.

Set in the world of comic books, Pulp charts the story of Tony Leary, a struggling publisher, who becomes embroiled in a plot to take down a ruthless crime syndicate.  Jay Sutherland, who plays Tony Leary, said, "When I read the script I was laughing out loud.  Making the film was a lot of fun and that's translated to the screen.  Pulp is a smashing, laugh-out-loud romp through the wild world of comic book publishing."
Pulp's co-director and producer, Adam Hamdy, said, "Pulp is fantastic fun. If you want to chuckle for 90 minutes and come away armed with a raft of one-liners, this film is for you. To even be mentioned in the same sentence as Withnail and I, Superbad, and Spaced is a testament to everyone who worked so hard to make the film."

Gavin Molloy, who plays Tony Leary's cool-as-ice comic book artist, Rick, said, "After receiving such a fantastic international response, it's great that UK comedy fans are going to get to see the film on Xbox."

Phil Bland, producer of Pulp, said, "Pulp has been a real grass roots experience. We made a film we found funny, and it seems lots of other people share our sense of humour. You don't need to be a comic fan to enjoy Pulp any more than you need to be an actor to like Withnail. Pulp is a fun film peopled with strange characters that will make you laugh."

Bode O’Toole, writer of Pulp, who achieved notoriety for being caged throughout production of the film, said, “We, who are about to Pulp, salute you.”
