PRICELINE TO DEBUT NEW AD IN SUNDAY’S PRE-GAME: BIG BANG’S KALEY CUOCO SCHOOLS WILLIAM SHATNER IN THE ART OF NEGOTIATING
Priceline picks advertising’s traditional showcase day
to unveil the latest spot in its 2013 campaign

NORWALK, Conn., January 31, 2013 . . . Kaley Cuoco, star of CBS’s “The Big Bang Theory,” will join William Shatner in a new priceline.com (Nasdaq: PCLN) ad that will be unveiled during Sunday’s pregame show.  The ad is the second in a series of spots in which Cuoco plays the daughter of the “Negotiator” character. As the campaign progresses, she shows her hyper-aggressive father how priceline.com’s no-bid Express Deals(sm) hotel reservation service is the lighter touch and highly effective way to score deals on quality hotel rooms.
“Sunday’s commercials are all about star-studded spots and new looks for brands,” said priceline.com’s Chief Marketing Officer Brett Keller.  “This is the perfect platform to showcase two highly successful celebrities within the same ad. It’s not something you see every day.”
In the new ad (available online now at http://youtu.be/_Y5YI6b6SUc), Cuoco firmly establishes herself as the new, gentler, force to be reckoned with when it comes to saving travelers money on hotel rooms. On her first mission, despite urgings from Shatner to overpower their mark with some heavy-handed tactics (“Use the stun gun!  Get the grappling hook!”), Cuoco instead introduces him to Express Deals, a priceline.com service where customers don’t have to bid and can get quality hotel rooms with guaranteed amenities like a pool, gym or restaurant at savings of up to 45% over published rates.
Express Deals is priceline.com’s newest and most family-friendly hotel reservation service that can save up to 45% without bidding on a room. With Express Deals, customers choose the city, neighborhood and star-level hotel they want, and can see all of a hotel’s amenities (pool, on-site restaurant, gym) and, in some cases, they can even specify the type of bedding they want (two queens, one king, etc.). Express Deals listings also show satisfaction scores from guests who have stayed at the hotel.  Room rates are pre-discounted up to 45% over published rates.  After making their reservation, customers are provided with the name of the hotel and their complete itinerary.  Customers who are looking to save even more – up to 60% - can still bid on a room using priceline.com’s Name Your Own Price® hotel service, or they can choose from the more than 201,000 hotels available on priceline.com’s global published-price hotel service.
