HITRECORD ON TV is the new variety show created, hosted and executive produced by Joseph Gordon-Levitt (Don Jon, Lincoln, The Dark Knight Rises), and is garnering buzz from critics including the Minneapolis Star Tribune’s Neal Justin who said: "HITRECORD might signal the future of television."

HITRECORD ON TV is an extension of Gordon-Levitt's popular open-collaborative production company hitRECord where artists from a global online community create and develop art and media collectively. The show’s unique take on the variety show format puts the spotlight on the final product after Gordon-Levitt and his team culls these individual pieces from hundreds of contributors to create short films, live performances, music, animation, conversation and much more. Throughout the eight half-hour episodes, Gordon-Levitt introduces various themes for each show, highlights new and emerging talent and welcomes notable friends including Elle Fanning and Tony Danza among other surprise guests.  The series is also executive produced by Brian Graden, Jared Geller, Lois Curren and Gaurav Misra and Pivot's Belisa Balaban, Evan Shapiro and Jeff Skoll. Episode descriptions and a link to the episode is provided below.

This coming Saturday, February 1 at 10pm ET/PT, Pivot premieres an original episode entitled RE: SPACE where Joseph Gordon-Levitt and his team will explore outer space, personal space and negative space. HITRECORD ON TV’s episode RE: SPACE is introduced with an animated short film about a boy who can fly above it all, makes a visit to SpaceX, a transportation company that’s trying to send humans to Mars, and acts in a sci-fi short that imagines what could happen if humans journeyed to the edge of space.
