Powell, Wagner, and Snyder Come to
Baltimore Comic-Con in 2014!

BALTIMORE, MARYLAND - February 24, 2014 - The Baltimore Comic-Con will be held over 3 days in celebration of comics and pop culture during the weekend of September 5-7, 2014!

Our newest guest announcement focuses on three creators who have achieved fame and acclaim with works from Dark Horse Comics and Dynamite Entertainment.

Eisner Award-winning writer and artist Eric Powell is widely recognized for his work on
The Goon.  Initially published through Avatar Press before moving onto a brief period of self-publishing, Dark Horse has been publishing this title since 2003, garnering accolades and industry awards along the way.  Powell has also provided writing and art for Marvel Comics (Marvel Monsters, Avengers), DC Comics (Action Comics, 52), and recently worked on IDW's Godzilla: Kingdom of Monsters.

When you mention Matt Wagner's name, people immediately think of his work on Grendel.  Originally published by Comico, the title moved to Dark Horse Comics with reprints of the original series and new story arcs.  It has been nominated and awarded in multiple categories of the Eisner Awards.  Lately, Wagner has been found working on Dynamite Entertainment's Green Hornet and The Shadow, as well as the upcoming Dark Horse Comics/Dynamite Entertainment crossover The Shadow vs. Grendel.

John K. Snyder III has provided interior artwork for numerous publications, and is known for his painted cover work.  His artwork has graced Matt Wagner's Grendel at Dark Horse, Zorro Rides Again and The Shadow:  Year One from Dynamite Entertainment, IDW's Duke Nukem:  Glorious Bastard and Transformers:  Infestation, and DC Comics' Doctor Mid-Nite among many others.

"These three gentlemen have been recurring guests for us over these past 14 years -- heck, John K. Snyder III has been with us annually since our first show in 2000!" commented Marc Nathan, promoter of the Baltimore Comic-Con.  "We are very much looking forward to seeing them again, as we know our fans are as well."
