Image Comics announces San Diego Comic Con panel line-up
Image Comics is pleased to host five exciting panels at San Diego Comic Con, in addition to the exclusive announcements and special guest reveals at Image Expo on Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Hilton Bayfront. From Thursday, July 24 through Sunday, July 27, Image Comics' panels will cover a broad spectrum of life in comics, from the creative processes of bestselling writers and artists to the nitty-gritty of transitioning to creator-owned comics, including a spotlight panel on the hit New York Times bestselling and Eisner-award winning series SAGA.

On Thursday, July 24 from 2 - 3 p.m. in room 23ABC, join Image Comics for “IMAGE COMICS: I is for...INFINITY” and hear from bestselling creators Nick Dragotta (EAST OF WEST), Rick Remender (DEADLY CLASS), Richard Starkings (ELEPHANTMEN), Jason Latour (SOUTHERN BASTARDS), Stuart Moore (EGOS), Ryan Burton (DARK ENGINE), and special surprise guests as we discuss the future of comics. Sci-fi westerns? Apocalyptic? Kid-friendly? Realistic or cartoony? Abstract? Painterly? The possibilities in comics are endless and there are an infinite number of stories to tell.

Head over to Skybound’s THE WALKING DEAD panel on Thursday, 7/24 at 4:15 - 5:15 p.m., room 6A. Dive into the world of the Eisner award-winning graphic novel THE WALKING DEAD with creator Robert Kirkman and artist Charlie Adlard. The panel will be moderated by THE WALKING DEAD editor Sean Mackiewicz.

Friday, July 25 at 11 a.m., join us for an hour in room 23ABC for “IMAGE COMICS: I is for INCEPTION.” In comics, collaboration is the lifeblood of creativity. Bestselling creators Fiona Staples (SAGA), Matt Fraction and Chip Zdarsky (SEX CRIMINALS), Kelly Sue DeConnick (PRETTY DEADLY), John Layman (CHEW), Steve Seagle (IMPERIAL), and additional special surprise guests, will gather together to share their experiences and inspirations when creating entire universes from scratch and the teamwork it takes to do so.

Don’t miss our SAGA panel on Saturday, July 26 from 1 - 2 p.m. in room 7AB. You know SAGA. You love SAGA. You can’t get enough SAGA! Brian K. Love all the hit new series Skybound has to offer? Are you too a fan of THE WALKING DEAD tv show's Daryl Dixon? Join us as Robert Kirkman Presents Skybound Entertainment ft. Norman Reedus panel on Saturday, 7/26 at 3PM - 4 p.m., room 6A. Robert Kirkman (THE WALKING DEAD) and his producing partner David Alpert (THE WALKING DEAD), will discuss Skybound's journey into television and film beyond THE WALKING DEAD series.

The panel will feature an exclusive, never-before-seen teaser of Skybound's first feature film, AIR starring Norman Reedus (The Walking Dead), a co-production with Automatik Entertainment (Insidious franchise) which has been acquired by Sony Pictures Worldwide Acquisitions.

Norman Reedus will join the panel to discuss the making of AIR and what it was like to work with Kirkman and Alpert outside of THE WALKING DEAD. Director Christian Cantamessa (Red Dead Redemption) will also join.

Robert Kirkman and David Alpert will discuss Skybound’s newest division, Skybound Interactive, and will share news about the critically acclaimed game The Walking Dead by Telltale and other happenings in the interactive space.

The panel will be moderated by IGN’s Greg Miller.

Vaughan (SAGA), and special surprise guests share their secrets about becoming a hit comics writer in the industry.
