Presidential Shifts at Action Lab Entertainment

Shawn Pryor has been named President of Creative Relations at Action Lab Entertainment.

Pryor was an integral part of the Action Lab team from the inception of the company in 2010 to 2013, one of the original co-founders and serving as its first president. During that time, Action Lab went from a fledgling publisher to an award nominated and winning company. In 2013, Pryor shifted his role to Vice President and Director of Digital Development, helping to build the digital comics division of Action Lab before leaving the company in December of 2014.

“My role as President of Creative Relations with Action Lab isn’t just a homecoming,” Pryor explained. “This role is to provide a secure bridge for creators and provide answers that they need to be effective creatives as the Action Lab lines continue to grow and publish more monthly books. In a lot of ways, it’s akin to an A&R role and I hope that I can provide the leadership and insight the company needs as it moves forward.”
Current President of Marketing and Development, Dave Dwonch, is stepping back to focus on personal projects.

"It's with a heavy heart that I leave the president role," said Dwonch. "Life has changed dramatically for me in the six years since co-founding the company. I've always been about making comics, and I've reached a place in my life where it's time to once again focus on making my own."

While Dave is focusing on creator owned projects including his ongoing series "Infinite Seven" and the TV adaptation and subsequent sequel to"Cyrus Perkins and the Haunted Taxi Cab", he is not leaving the company entirely, and will continue to work behind the scenes to sculpt the ever expanding Action Lab library as well as remain a member of its board of directors.
