LEAVE SOMEONE AT THE ALTAR AND YOU’RE IN FOR A SHOTGUN WEDDING
Hell Hath No Fury Like a Woman Scorned… Particularly When She’s a Trained Assassin

Mike Stone wants nothing more than to marry the woman of his dreams… but the last woman of his dreams wants nothing more than to stop him. This April, the new SHOTGUN WEDDING miniseries from Top Cow's Minotaur Press imprint will give you a slice of vengeful wedding drama to look forward to each week, all month long.

William Harms (Impaler) and Edward Pun (Ninja High School) introduce an assassin named Mike and his smart, sexy, 2nd-grade-teacher fiancée, Denise. Mike loves Denise more than anything in the world, but Chloe—his first fiance who got left in the lurch—has been plotting her revenge.

"Grosse Pointe Blank is one of my favorite movies. I absolutely love the balance it strikes in tone between Martin's job—killing people—and how he struggles to reconcile that with the rest of his life,” said Harms. “Ever since that movie came out, I've been wanting to write a story about an assassin and then one day a little lightbulb went off in my head and I thought, Imagine if an assassin was going to get married, and on that very special day, all of his enemies showed up… and one them was his ex-fiancée."

All four issues will come out in April, one a week and will each be available for $3.99. The first issue in the four-issue miniseries SHOTGUN WEDDING arrives in stores on 4/2 and can be pre-ordered using Diamond Code FEB140515.

SHOTGUN WEDDING #2 can be pre-ordered using Diamond Code: FEB140516 and will be available on 4/9. SHOTGUN WEDDING #3 can be pre-orded using Diamond Code: FEB140517 and will be available on 4/16, and SHOTGUN WEDDING #4 can be pre-ordered with Diamond Code: FEB140518 and will be available on 4/23.

Things are going to get bloody.”

DREAM POLICE IS A MYSTERIOUS, FANTASY SERIES SURE TO INTRIGUE READERS
Crime, changelings, nightwalkers, and police detectives that uncover more than they bargained for

Join Dream Police Detectives Joe Thursday and Frank Stanford as they patrol the dreamscape in DREAM POLICE, written by J. Michael Straczynski (TEN GRAND, PROTECTORS, INC.) with art by Sid Kotian.

Joe and Frank have been partners for as long as they can remember, patrolling the alternate universe of dreams, nightmares, and the great void beyond, an alternate but very real dimension of changelings, echoes, wisps, ethers, and nightwalkers, those that died in their sleep and wander the dreamscape forever.

The Dream Police have seen it all. But when Frank steps away and disappears… and the woman who returns says she’s Joe’s partner, that she’s always been Joe’s partner… he begins a journey into the unknown that will shake the dreaming down to its very foundation.

While growing up, Straczynski moved 20 times by the time he was 17. This lack of continuity as a child led him to imagine his own “hometown,” a community that he patched together with different memories from all the different places he’d tried to settle, and visited only in his dreams. “I've been fascinated with the idea that the dreamscape is a real place, stitched together from echoes of the physical world, where we go to find some measure of relief, or adventure, or understanding,” said Straczynski. “If that's the case, then there has to be some means of providing order and protecting dreamers from danger… which led me to the notion of the Dream Police.”

DREAM POLICE is more than just a crime series. Each issue does world building and allows readers to get to know more than just the police that inhabit the dream community. “The book delves into the other characters who live in the dreamscape,” said Straczynski. “The architects (who design environments on the fly as needed by dreamers), changeling and echoes (who play the parts of people we know), nightmares (figures both frightening and deeply tragic) and others who serve a higher power.”

The first issue of DREAM POLICE arrives in stores on 4/30 and will be available for $2.99. Cover A (by Sid Kotian & Bill Farmer) can be pre-ordered using Diamond Code: FEB140494. Cover B (by Renae Deliz & Ray Dillon) can be pre-ordered using Diamond Code: FEB140495.

GENESIS WILL TAKE YOU ON A JOURNEY OF CREATION AND DESTRUCTION
Sweeping visuals and poignant writing make Nathan Edmondson and Alison Sampson’s new one-shot

Nathan Edmondson (WHO IS JAKE ELLS, The Punisher, Black Widow) and debut artist Alison Sampson’s, GENESIS, pairs sweeping visuals with poignant writing to bring readers a one-shot that cannot be missed.

GENESIS is a trippy journey of creation and destruction as one man finds himself with the ability to manifest anything by thinking it—only to learn that with seemingly unlimited power comes unstoppable terror.

"Genesis was a fun opportunity to let storytelling and art run wild with the idea of creativity itself—of the boundlessness of imagination and the inevitable vertigo that comes from the unlimited ability to manifest anything into being," said Nathan Edmondson.

Sampson has a background in architecture which informs her style. “The comic page is built up like I'd design a bit of architecture, with leading and secondary spaces and places and so on. I found it hard to be linear, to cater to a reader—comics and architecture are not always the same,” explained Sampson. “It amazes me what level of design skills comic artists bring to their pages, even as someone who designs every day. I miss the excitement of being on site, but you can do all sorts of things on paper you can't do in real life, and there is a lot of that still to explore.”

“I'm really grateful for Nathan asking me to do this. The script let me draw on my architectural background (twenty five years of it) to bring something special of my own to the project and I hope that comes across—Nathan is a designer's writer,” said Sampson. “I'm relatively new to comics and there was a steep learning curve, but Nathan works with some amazing artists, so there was a standard to meet and this made me work harder.”

GENESIS (ONE-SHOT) arrives in stores on 4/16, and will be available for $6.99. It can be pre-ordered using Diamond Code: FEB140504.

The Dreamer Volume 3 Coming March 2014
Bea Whaley's Vivid Dreams About The American Revolution Continue In This All-New Graphic Novel!

San Diego, CA (January 20, 2013) – IDW Publishing is pleased to announce that the next release in the graphic novel series The Dreamer will hit stores this March. The Dreamer Volume 3: The Battle of Harlem Heights (ISBN 9781613778869) is the third and final book in the story arc The Consequence of Nathan Hale and will be available in comic book stores as well as book trade venues.

In the 21st Century Bea's friends and family begin to suspect that something is wrong, but Bea knows she cannot tell them about her dreams. As tensions rise, she struggles to return to the 18th century, where her friends' lives are threatened by the ever-growing war - and this time, she just might be too late to save them.

“You don't need to be a history buff or comic book fan to love my book, The Dreamer,” say creator Lora Innes. “The reason the book resonates with readers is it's filled with romance, action and adventure that anyone can relate to. The fact that much of this actually happened is only backdrop to the story, but it makes it much richer.”
The Dreamer has been nominated for numerous Harvey Awards and is a fan-favorite among comic book and mainstream readers alike. The Dreamer Volume 1 and Volume 2 are also available in both print and digital formats. Volume 4 in the series is planned for 2016.

What others have said about The Dreamer:

“There is not a single misstep in the entire book. To say I’m hooked is a huge understatement. I’m buying this volume, the previous volume and will preorder the next volume.”  —FirstComicNews.com

“That this beautiful work is paired to a pitch-perfect story at once epic and intimate, both serious and playful, that straddles a teenage present and our nation’s most dramatic past is a testament to a creativity that knows no bounds.” —Michael Frost Beckner, producer of Spy Games

“The best books in life are the one you’re surprised by — the ones where you see the cover and think, “Huh. This looks cool.”…and then you don’t come up for air until you’ve read all the way through to the end. That’s what happened with Lora Innes’s The Dreamer.” —Fantasy Magazine

THE RULES OF WAR WILL BE BROKEN
IN ‘68: RULE OF WAR #1
The Cambodian Jungles Are Crawling with Zombies, But the Biggest Threat is Human

Mark Kidwell, Jeff Zornow, and Jay Fotos, the team behind the multiple Horror Comic and Ghastly Award-winning ‘68: JUNGLE JIM bring new terrors to the Vietnam War in ‘68: RULE OF WAR #1, the first in a four-issue miniseries sure to delight zombie enthusiasts.

In a doom-shadowed Cambodia infested with the living dead, CIA Special Agent Declan Rule and his canine companion Nero stalk a human monster, a neurosurgeon bent on carrying out grisly experiments that turn P.O.W.s into vicious instruments of war.

In ’68: RULE OF WAR Kidwell focuses on the horrifying capabilities of humans, rather than just zombies alone. “Readers will see how a human imagination, backed up by years of medical and scientific education, can take a threat like a shambling, cannibalistic demon and make it worse by wiring it to a radio transmitter frequency, packing it with high explosives and aiming it at an unsuspecting opposition,” said Kidwell. “Also, with the dead, surgical application and augmentation could be performed without boundaries. The threat of ‘losing’ a patient due to lab table trauma is zero as long as you don’t destroy the brain. Think Frankenstein on steroids with the bedside manner of Joseph Stalin and you’re getting warm.”

In Vietnam, Private Kuen Yam and his ragtag band of survivors battle their way across a murderous no-man’s-land in a desperate search for a ticket to the skies. The war is over, but the battle for humanity’s survival has just begun.

“The concept of ’68 owes its roots to the fact that George Romero and John Russo unleashed their original vision of the American flesh-eating undead in 1968 with Night of the Living Dead,” explained Kidwell. “If you take that birthdate as gospel in the creation of the zombie sub-genre, it’s a no-brainer that the conflict in Southeast Asia would have become an instant, overnight hell teeming with hungry ghouls and unburied war dead. The goal then, was to introduce the supernatural horror of the zombie plague into the equation already established by the horrors of an out-of-control war and let the readers decide which is worse.”

‘68: RULE OF WAR #1 is the first in a four-issue miniseries, arrives in stores on 4/2, and will be available for $3.99.

‘68: RULE OF WAR #1 with Cover A by Nat Jones can be pre-ordered using Diamond Code FEB140498. Cover B, with art by Clayton Crain, can be pre-ordered using Diamond Code FEB140499. And Cover C, which is a blank sketch variant, can be pre-ordered using Diamond Code FEB140500.

THE WALKING DEAD’S ROBERT KIRKMAN WRITES INVINCIBLE

Kirkman Proves All-New Invincible #111 is Worth the Weight of Three #1s

INVINCIBLE #111 is the first issue of a bold new direction, a startling new era, and stories for a new generation from Robert Kirkman, the creator of THE WALKING DEAD empire and up-for-anything artist Ryan Ottley. Suddenly infused with more gore and terror than a zombie apocalypse, INVINCIBLE takes a turn down the dark path of horror when Invincible is betrayed by one of his own.

“If The Walking Dead is the zombie movie that never ends, Invincible is the superhero movie that never ends. Like The Walking Dead, it takes a well-worn genre and puts a new spin on it, raising the stakes and treating things a little more seriously than they otherwise are,” said Kirkman. “With these new issues, starting with 111, we’re really going to be ramping up those elements of the series to their highest peak. I don’t think people are prepared for all the lines we’re going to cross... and not look back. This really is an exciting time to be an Invincible fan.”

INVINCIBLE #111 packs the punch of three #1 issues combined and is the perfect jumping on point for new readers, that will blow the minds of long-time Invincible fans.

INVINCIBLE #111 arrives in stores on 4/16 and will be available for $2.99.

INVINCIBLE #111 can be pre-ordered using Diamond Code FEB140476.
