At OpenEducation.net we recently reviewed the use of comic books as a tool for teaching reading in the school setting. At that time, we omitted a review of Manga as a possible genre for use. We have since added the following post:

http://www.openeducation.net/2008/02/14/manga-another-comic-format-worthy-of-classroom-consideration/

Our three initial posts were:

http://www.openeducation.net/2008/01/23/innovative-teaching-comic-books-in-the-classroom/

http://www.openeducation.net/2008/01/24/innovative-teaching-chris-wilson-discusses-the-comic-book-movement/

http://www.openeducation.net/2008/01/27/the-twelve-best-comic-books-for-the-classroom/

If you have any feedback on our approach or treatment of the topic I welcome your input.

Thanks and have a great week.
