True Blood Hardcover Comic Collection
Debuts on
New York Times Best Seller List

Hardcover Collection – A Compilation of the First 6 Issues – #6 on Prestigious List

Cast Signing in Los Angeles, Saturday, February 26th

Second Series Featuring An All-New Story Arc Available Now in Comic Stores

[True Blood: All Together Now hardcover image]San Diego, CA (February 25, 2010) – IDW Publishing and HBO® are proud to announce that the hardcover collection of its first TRUE BLOOD comic story arc, ALL TOGETHER NOW, debuted on the New York Times Best Seller list today. The prestigious list notes the top selling books from the previous week, and TRUE BLOOD captured the number six spot, after just one week on sale. This compilation of all six issues from the first series of the comics features bonus content, including a cover gallery.

“To have our first comic compilation debut at number six on the best-seller list is amazing,” stated James Costos, VP Licensing & Retail, HBO. “It is a true testament to the quality of the product and reach of the True Blood brand.”

To celebrate the huge success of the first TRUE BLOOD comic series, several cast members of the hit HBO show will be signing copies of the collection at Barnes & Noble, The Grove in Los Angeles, on Saturday, February 26th, from 1 to 3 pm.

Featuring the same erotically-charged romance, wry humor, intriguing mystery and suspense the show has become known for, the story treats readers to new insights of their favorite characters. Developed with show creator Alan Ball, along with series writers Elisabeth Finch and Kate Barnow, ALL TOGETHER NOW was co-written by David Tischman and Mariah Huehner. The series was beautifully illustrated by top tier artist David Messina, with additional art by renowned artists J. Scott Campbell and Joe Corroney.

"One of the most exciting and gratifying parts of my job is seeing the reactions of fans," said IDW True Blood Editor Scott Dunbier, "And I can tell you emphatically that True Blood fans are rabid—which is, of course, delightful."

The TRUE BLOOD saga continues with a brand new story, TRUE BLOOD: TAINTED LOVE, with the first issue now in stores. Actor Michael McMillian, who plays Fellowship of the Sun leader Reverend Steve Newlin, will co-author the all-new six-issue arc with fan-favorite writer Marc Andreyko.

As with the first arc, IDW’s new TRUE BLOOD comic series will be based on the intriguing world of Bon Temps, offering fans an original story with their favorite characters. In this six-issue series, Jessica is exposed to contaminated bottles of Tru Blood, causing the lovely vampire to go berserk. It’s up to Sookie, Bill and the others to figure out who (or what) is behind the bad Blood. In addition to Jessica, several other Bon Temps residents are making their comic book debut including Hoyt, Terry, Arlene and Steve Newlin. Joining McMillian and Andreyko is artist Joe Corroney, who will bring this latest head-turning series to life. Corroney, along with superstar artist, J. Scott Campbell, will provide covers.

“We couldn’t be more pleased with the amazing success of the comics and are excited that the release of the comic collection will make the series even more accessible to fans,” stated show creator Alan Ball. “Michael and Marc have done an amazing job with the second series, crafting a thrilling story that will leave Trubies wanting more.”

In addition to the print editions, the comic collection and the second series will be available digitally through Sony’s Digital Comics Store and Apple’s iTunes Store.

On February 13, 1968, during the darkest days of the Vietnam conflict, the gates of hell opened wide, unleashing new and hungry life into the countless war-torn dead. The horrors of war take a back seat as an American tunnel rat crawls into a Viet Cong warren turned undead slaughterhouse, rotting snipers fire their final bullets from treetop perches, and freshly filled body bags twitch and rise from the slab. There are zombies in the razor wire…

Horror comics creators NAT JONES, MARK KIDWELL and JAY FOTOS return to the jungles of Vietnam, expanding the zombie epic started in the original one-shot ’68 with this four-issue mini-series of undead military horror. Each issue features multiple covers by Jones and Fotos, full 22-page stories in series continuity and a bonus 4-page short that expands on the zombie-infected world of 1968 by horror titan Tim Vigil.

IDW's Zombies vs Robots Optioned by Sony Pictures

Post-Apocalyptic Comic Series to Be Co-Produced by Michael Bay’s Platinum Dunes and IDW

[Complete Zombies vs Robots cover]San Diego, CA (February 22, 2011) – IDW Publishing’s popular ZOMBIES VS ROBOTS comic series is headed to Hollywood. The series, which was created by writer and IDW Chief Creative Officer Chris Ryall and artist/painter Ashley Wood and launched in 2006, has been acquired by Sony Pictures.

The film will be a co-production between IDW, Michael Bay’s Platinum Dunes, and Circle of Confusion. IDW CEO and co-founder Ted Adams will produce, alongside Bay, Brad Fuller, Andrew Form, Dave Alpert, and Rick Jacobs.

In the ZOMBIES VS ROBOTS comic series, the last remaining human in the world is protected by an assortment of robots against overwhelming zombie hordes. When the robots mistakenly expose the human infant’s presence to the zombies, it leads to an all-out battle for the survival of mankind. The series takes a playful look at a far-fetched concept, resulting in something that transcends the usual “vs” approach. Subsequent series include Zombies vs Robots vs Amazons, also illustrated by Wood, as well as Zombies vs Robots: Aventure, a series that presented three separate prequel stories. The ZOMBIES VS ROBOTS world also played a major role in IDW’s first-ever event series, INFESTATION, and an all-new ZOMBIES VS ROBOTS series subtitled “UnderCity,” with art by Mark Torres, launches in April.

THE COMPLETE ZOMBIES VS ROBOTS is now available as both a hardcover graphic novel ($29.99, ISBN 978-1-60010-809-9) and a trade paperback ($19.99, ISBN 978-1-60010-328-5).

ZOMBIES VS ROBOTS: AVENTURE is now available as an oversized hardcover graphic novel ($24.99, 10” x 13”, ISBN 1-60010-717-7).

ZOMBIES VS ROBOTS: UNDERCITY #1 (of 4, $3.99, 32 pages) will be available in comic stores in April. Diamond order code FEB11 0315.

IMAGINE A WORLD WITHOUT SHERLOCK
Moriarty Offers a New Take on Literature’s Original Super-Villain

Berkeley, CA - February 22, 2011 - Image Comics presents another new title as well as some exciting new talent with MORIARTY, a collaboration from the up and coming creative team of writer Daniel Corey and artist Anthony Diecidue. This new series, set to debut in May, will follow the world’s greatest criminal mastermind as he adjusts to life without a foil.

Although the venerable series created by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle covered a great deal of ground, it left one question unanswered: What would happen if Professor Moriarty finally achieved mortal victory over his ages old nemesis? With Diecidue's art evoking the dark and foreboding atmosphere of London after dark, Corey will show readers how he imagines the story without a Sherlock Holmes.

“Would Moriarty revel in victory, spend the rest of his life smoking cigars and sleeping on stacks of money?” Daniel Corey wondered. “Probably not. I think he’d fall on hard times, and it would take one heck of an event - say, a World War - to jolt him back to life.”

Corey continued, "Moriarty's not an evil person - not in his own mind. In working with Anthony Diecidue to create this series, I thought we’d take a look at things from Moriarty’s perspective, get to know his thoughts. Along the way, we could see him delve into some mind-blowing deductive reasoning, get into a few sword fights, decipher riddles and discover technology 50 years ahead of its time. Would we expect any less from the original super-villain?"

MORIARTY #1, a 32 page full-color science fiction noir comic book, is in stores in May 2011 for $2.99.

LOS ANGELES (February 21, 2011) – As H. R. Pufnstuf marks 40 years since the series ended its trailblazing run on Saturday mornings, Vivendi Entertainment honors the iconic Sid and Marty Krofft creation with H. R. PUFNSTUF: THE COMPLETE SERIES. This three-DVD collection features all 17 episodes, which were originally broadcast between 1969 and 1971.

Presented in standard and collector’s editions, both versions include the entire series accompanied by downloadable vintage coloring sheets, and – for the first time ever on DVD – the rare series episode, “Horror Hotel.” In addition, the Collector’s Edition comes with an exclusive H.R. Four decades have past since H. R. Pufnstuf left NBC airwaves, but the colorful series remains popular, not only among those reliving their childhood, but also with others discovering the whimsical world of Living Island for the first time. As a testament to the series’ longevity, Los Angeles based KCET, the largest independent public television station in the country, recently added H. R. Pufnstuf to its weekend line-up of children’s programming.

H. R. PUFNSTUF: THE COMPLETE SERIES is the latest release to stem from the partnership the Krofft brothers and Vivendi Entertainment formed last year. One of those programs, Lidsville, is heading to the big screen courtesy of DreamWorks Animation. The Krofft brothers will serve as executive producers for the project, which marks the first animated feature film adaptation of their work.

The Krofft’s success led them to produce various prime-time series and specials, including The Brady Bunch Hour, The Donny & Marie Show and Barbara Mandrell & The Mandrell Sisters series.

JEREMY HAUN PICKS UP ARTIFACTS
Announcing New Official Artist for Artifacts #9 -12

Berkeley, CA - February 18, 2011 - As the final act of ARTIFACTS draws near, Top Cow proudly announces that Jeremy Haun (Berserker, Detective Comics) will be the official artist for issues 9 through 12 of this star-studded epic series. After recently becoming a Top Cow exclusive artist, Haun will now bring Ron Marz’s potentially cataclysmic ARTIFACTS story to its conclusion before he tackles his scheduled ongoing run on The Darkness.

Many great artists have preceded Haun on this title, including the recent contributions of Michael Broussard (formerly of Top Cow’s Pit) and original Image co-founder Whilce Portacio. In addition, the 13th issue of ARTIFACTS will feature a not yet announced special guest artist for this comic book that Comic Book Resources called, “...a world-changing, landscape-sweeping carnage-filled adventure.”

Jeremy Haun said, "I've been looking for a project for quite a while where I can really grow as an artist and produce something truly epic that I can be proud of. Artifacts is just that project. I can't wait for people to see what Ron and I are doing on the book. It's going to be... BIG."

"All writers have lists of artists they want to work with." commented Ron Marz. "Jeremy has been on my list for a while, so I'm really pleased ARTIFACTS is going to be our chance to collaborate."

Marz added, "Of course, with the epic scale of the storyline, and literally dozens of characters taking part, I intend to leave Jeremy a broken man ... er, artist ... by the time we hit the last page of issue #12."

Top Cow Publisher Filip Sablik stated, "All of us at Top Cow are thrilled to have Jeremy Haun as part of the Top Cow family and when we realized he'd have a 6+ month lead up to The Darkness the perfect opportunity presented itself to make him part of our biggest event ever!"

As apocalypse approaches in ARTIFACTS, how will Witchblade bearer Sara Pezzini and Darkness bearer Jackie Estacado’s daughter Hope influence the ultimate battle for the fate of the Top Cow universe?

ARTIFACTS #9, a 32 page full-color comic book by writer Ron Marz and artist Jeremy Haun, with covers by Eric Canete, Dale Keown and John Tyler Christopher, is in stores on May 25, 2011 for $3.99.
