Baltimore Comic-Con Media Guests Announcements and Details

BALTIMORE, MARYLAND - September 1, 2016 - Join the 2016 Baltimore Comic-Con at the Baltimore Convention Center the weekend of September 2-4, 2016 for our biggest show yet. Tickets are available now for General Admission, VIP, and the Harvey Awards!
Unfortunately, Candice Patton's filming schedule has affected her show schedule, and she will be appearing late in the day on Saturday for signatures. Photos, autograph opportunities, and her panel will be held on Sunday. Please look below for details on her schedule.
Sean Astin will attending the show on Saturday, September 3rd and Sunday, September 4th. His vast body of work includes the Lord of the Rings trilogy, starring as Mikey Walsh in The Goonies, and the title character of Rudy. He also voices Raphael on Nickelodeon's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Catch his spotlight panel on Saturday, September 3rd at 1:30pm in the 4th floor ballroom.

Hayley Atwell, who stars as Peggy Carter in Captain America: The First Avenger and Marvel's Agent Carter will attending the show on Sunday. Her spotlight panel is scheduled for Sunday, September 4th at 1pm in the 4th floor ballroom.

Kevin Eastman
Kevin Eastman, 2016 Baltimore Comic-Con Guest of Honor and creator of  Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, will be with us Friday and Saturday. His spotlight panel occurs on Saturday, September 3rd at 1:30pm in room 339-342.

Kristian Nairn, who is renowned for his role as Hodor in HBO's Game of Throneswill be with us Saturday and Sunday. You can see his spotlight panel on Saturday, September 3rd at 12:30pm in the 4th floor ballroom.

Candice Patton plays Iris West on CW's The Flashwill be at the show Saturday September 3rd and Sunday, September 4th. Due to filming schedules, her schedule will be limited on Saturday to a 2 hour signing from approximately 5pm-7pm. Her spotlight panel will be in the 4th floor ballroom on Sunday, September 4th at 12:00pm.
 
Michael Rowe, who stars as Floyd Lawton, a.k.a. Deadshot, the leader of the Suicide Squad on The CW's Arrow, joins the Baltimore Comic-Con in 2016 for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. His spotlight panel will be held on Saturday, September 3rd at 11:30am in the 4th floor ballroom.

In addition to the previously listed guests, we also have a few professional wrestlers exhibiting in the hall.
Sunny, born Tamara Lynn Sytch, began her career as she was to begin her college years, managing Chris Candido in Smoky Mountain Wrestling in Tennessee. Her villainous character soon made the transition to WWE, where she started as a broadcast correspondent, but eventually teamed with Candido again to become The Bodydonnas. Her career in WWE led her to win several Slammies, increase the sale of RAW magazine to record numbers, and be named AOL's most downloaded woman in the world of 1996. Her career after WWE led her to perform in Extreme Championship Wrestling and World Championship Wrestling.
Mickie James began her wrestling career as a valet on the indie circuit in 1990 before honing her own wrestling capabilities and joining NWA-TNA Joining WWE in 2005, James became a Trish Stratus-obsessed fan before going on to win WWE's Women's Championship at WrestleMania 22. She returned to NWA-TNA in 2010, winning the TNA Knockout Championship 3 times. Pro Wrestling Illustrated ranked James as the number one female wrestler in 2009, and she was also voted Woman of the Year twice, first in 2009 and again in 2011 by readers of PWI magazine.

Two classics of literature, H.P. Lovecraft and Sherlock Holmes, will be featured.  In the graphic novel, Mythos: Lovecraft’s Worlds, creators Brandon Barrows and Hugo Petrus present eight tales from the original Master of Horror.  The adapted tales are from some of HP Lovecraft’s lesser works including a tale of humor that readers may not be too aware of. A New Team of Hasbro Characters Unite To Form REVOLUTIONARIES
San Diego, CA (September 1, 2016) – REVOLUTION was only the beginning! Once the dust settles on Revolution, IDW’s groundbreaking event series that catapulted a new comic book universe into existence, heroes and villains will rise from the ashes to form new alliances and take on even greater challenges in this brave new comic world.

REVOLUTIONARIES will be born.

A G.I. Joe, a man of action, and a few Cybertronians thrown in for good measure, will form the basis of a team unlike any ever conceived before.

REVOLUTIONARIES, the latest addition to the first wave of post-Revolution titles, will further explore and shape the fledgling comic universe which encompasses TRANSFORMERS, G.I. JOE, ROM, MICRONAUTS, ACTION MAN, and M.A.S.K.: MOBILE ARMORED STRIKE KOMMAND.

This series will reunite Revolution writer John Barber and artist Fico Ossio and will team characters from every corner of this action-packed series, showcasing a full slate of mind-blowing guest stars, including both old favorites and exciting new additions. In addition to the regular players of Action Man, Blackrock (Transformers), Mayday (G.I. Joe), and Kup (Transformers), Revolutionaries will feature a rotating cast of teammates, opening the door for dream team-ups from issue to issue. These Revolutionaries will band together over the course of the unraveling central storyline, a mysterious plot, that serves as the backbone throughout the series.

Baltimore Comic-Con 2016 Kicks Off Tomorrow!

BALTIMORE, MARYLAND - September 1, 2016 - The 17th Annual Baltimore Comic-Con kicks-off tomorrow afternoon, Friday, September 2, 2016 at the Baltimore Convention Center! The show floor will open at 1:00 pm (12:00 pm for VIP Ticket holders), but box offices will be open as early as 8:00 am.
Here are a few last-minute reminders for attendees:
  • We are in the Pratt and Howard Street Lobby this year (which is the same entrance as last year).
  • Online ticket sales end Thursday.
  • Be sure to arrive early, as lines to enter when the show floor opens will begin to form early.
  • All attendees need to bring their receipt from their online ticket purchase or their physical tickets and a photo ID, and follow directions of staff members to guide them to the proper lines where their receipts will be collected and wristbands issued.
  • Those who purchased the VIP Packages should go the VIP booth near WILL CALL to attain their packages.
  • We have celebrity photo ops and tickets for media guests.
  • The 7th Annual Costume Contest, sponsored by Toynk.com, will be held on Saturday, September 3, 2016 at 3:00 pm for adults (professional and amateur), and Sunday, September 27, 2014 at 2:30 pm for children. Registration will begin as soon as the show opens at 10:00 am and lasts until 1:00 pm each respective contest day. Contest Registration forms will be handed out at the Costume Contest Booth located in the lower Pratt Street lobby for all patrons interested in entering the costume contest. Over-18 registration will cost $10 for professionals and $5 for craftsmen and amateurs. Under-18 registration will be free.
  • There will be ATMs available throughout the show for your convenience.
  • Maps for the show are now posted.
  • To ensure everyone has a safe and fun weekend, please familiarize yourself with the Baltimore Comic-Con Harassment Policy and Weapons Policy.
