ONI PRESS REVEALS THREE NEW 2016 TITLES AT SAN DIEGO COMIC-CON

OVER THE SURFACE, THE MIGHTY ZODIAC, AND ANOTHER CASTLE ANNOUNCED AT ONI PRESS EDITORIAL PANEL

SAN DIEGO, CA July 9, 2015 – Oni Press, Portland’s premier independent comic book publisher, announced today at their San Diego Comic-Con Editorial panel three new 2016 titles: Over the Surface, by Natalie Nourigat, Another Castle, by Andrew Wheeler and Paulina Ganucheau, and The Mighty Zodiac, by J. Torres and Corin Howell.

Working with Natalie Nourigat, Paulina Ganucheau and Corin Howell, Oni Press is extremely pleased to be able to support incredibly talented women creators in each of their new titles. Natalie Nourigat has become a star to watch since her early collaboration with Oni Press on A Boy and a Girl, Paulina Ganucheau has gone from success to success and anticipation could not be higher for her upcoming Zodiac Starforce series, while Corin Howell continues to receive glowing critical praise for Transformers: Windblade.
It is an honor for Oni Press to be collaborating with these women on exciting, new independent comic books.

In Over the Surface, written and illustrated by Natalie Nourigat (Thrilling Adventure Hour, A Boy and a Girl, Between Gears), Ava Lefevre longs to be a pilot but the Solveran Army doesn't allow women into its ranks. However the country is at war with a neighboring country, Isolestra, and needs all the help in can get. Taking advantage of this, Ava boasts to a recruitment party that she can outfly their best pilot, Victor. A dogfight is set up between the two and Ava comes out on top - buying her enrollment into the military. Ava finally has everything she's always wanted but soon discovers that there's more to the war than what the government is telling civilians - especially after she's tasked with taking down the growing resistance movement in Solvera. Can Ava keep her dream of flying while there's so much turmoil on the ground?

Another Castle, written by Andrew Wheeler and illustrated by Paulina Ganucheau (Zodiac Starforce, Adventure Time: Pixel Princesses), is the story of Princess Misty, captured by the evil Badlug, who quickly mounts an escape and is nearly out the door when she discovers that her disappearance would have terrible consequences. Because without a princess, the prince won't come, and without the prince, the legendary sword that can kill Badlug also won't come. And if Misty leaves, Badlug will be infuriated, and take it out on the citizens of Grimoire. It's happened before, when Misty's own mother died while she was Badlug's prisoner, and he blew up his own castle. So Misty returns to captivity, and conspires with the citizens of the castle to bring a regime change to Grimoire. Together, they team up with the bumbling prince, get the sword, and free the kingdom.

The Mighty Zodiac, written by J. Torres (Teen Titans Go, Bigfoot Boy) and illustrated by Corin Howell (Batmite, Transformers: Windblade), begins when six stars fall out of the sky to earth. Master Long sends a message to his students, all members of the Zodiac Clan, to collect the stars and return them to their base. However, the Moon Rabbit Army is also after the stars, and will stop at nothing to make sure they don't get back to Master Long - even if it means snuffing them out. It's up to the Zodiac Clan to not only collect the stars but protect their ailing Master Long from the Moon Rabbit Army's might.

IDW Announces Star TrekTM
Landmark Issue And A New Series For 2015

San Diego, CA (July 9, 2015) –Following this year’s Comic-Con launch of the epic crossover Star Trek/ Green Lantern comic book, IDW announced two more new comic book projects slated for 2015.

This October will see the release of Star Trek #50, marking one of the longest-running Star Trek comic-book series by any publisher. Mike Johnson continues his stint with this special anniversary issue that kicks off an epic, three-part adventure that will introduce the classic “Mirror/Mirror” storyline into the new film-based universe. Issue #50 will also boast additional bonus content, including behind-the-scenes looks at the entire 50-issue run, along with hints about where the series is going. It will all be surrounded by a gorgeous wraparound cover by series artist Tony Shasteen.

In December, IDW is adding a new dynamic to Star Trek lore with the debut of a new miniseries, Star Trek: Starfleet Academy. The comic follows Kirk, Spock, Uhura and some surprise faces while they are still cadets-in-training at Starfleet Academy, set in the period just prior to the opening of the 2009 mega-hit film. At the same time, you’ll meet the all-new “current day” class of Starfleet cadets, full of compelling young characters from all over the galaxy. The past and the present collide when a mystery bridges the two timelines. This vibrant series, designed to be an entry point for diverse groups of readers, is written by Mike Johnson and Ryan Parrot, with art by fan-favorite creator Derek Charm.

“IDW is proud to have been partnered with Star Trek for nearly a fifth of its lifespan so far,” said IDW Editor-In-Chief Chris Ryall. “As these new comic book projects, and many others coming soon, will show, we’ve got plenty of exciting new ways to bring Star Trek stories to the fans.”

“The fan enthusiasm surrounding Starfleet Academy, much like Harry Potter’s Hogwarts, or X-Men’s Xavier’s School for Gifted Youngsters, shows that the educational lives of our most beloved heroes makes for fantastic stories,” said IDW editor Sarah Gaydos. “I am so excited to flesh out a new chapter in the lives of the Enterprise crew, while introducing you to a great new team of recruits - - ready to boldly go!”

Join Mike Johnson, Derek Charm and Sarah Gaydos at SDCC on Friday, July 10 (4PM-5PM) for the IDW: The Best Panel On Recorded History where they will discuss these Star Trek projects and more.

DYNAMITE PROUDLY ANNOUNCES THE FULL CREATIVE TEAM
FOR OCTOBER'S GRUMPY CAT #1, UNVEILS COVER ARTWORK

July 8, 2015, Mt. Laurel, NJ: Dynamite Entertainment, following the wave of excitement generated from the May announcement of their upcoming Grumpy Cat comic book series, is pleased to announce the complete creative team for the upcoming first issue, scheduled for release in October. The series writers include Ben Fisher (Smuggling Spirits), Ben McCool (Captain America and the Korvac Saga), Royal McGraw (Detective Comics), and Elliott R. Serrano (Army of Darkness). The interior artists will be Ken Haeser (The Living Corpse) and Steve Uy (Avengers: The Initiative), who also contribute cover artwork alongside Rebekie Bennington (Doodle Jump), Agnes Garbowska (My Little Pony), and Tavis Maiden (The Konamis). Dynamite will also offer two special cover variants: a Blank Authentix edition, perfect for fans with artistic talent to personalize; and the first-ever "Create-Your-Own-Meme" edition that provide Grumpy Cat lovers an outlet for their own curmudgeonly witticisms.

Each of the contributing writers and artists has chimed in with their enthusiasm for the project:

Rebekie Bennington, artist: "When I first got the message about doing some art for Grumpy Cat, I didn't know if I could handle the pressure of being judged by the grumpiest cat on the internet... but then I realized that my own general grumpiness made me a perfect fit!"

Ben Fisher, writer: "Grumpy Cat has managed to transcend from meme to globally recognized personality with astonishing speed. Nearly anyone with Internet access knows that face, across all ages and nationalities. It's a huge honor to be given the opportunity to participate in her entrance into a new medium. Comic books are a natural fit for Grumpy Cat, along with her supporting cast of friends and family. I'm having a blast writing these great characters and developing their world. Also, Dynamite promised that if the books do well, they'll let me pitch the Chocolate Rain graphic novel."

Agnes Garbowska, artist: "I'm working on Grumpy Cat! I am so honoured that I can take part in capturing Grumpy Cat herself in comic book form. Currently, I am working on the covers for the comics. I wrapped up a cover for issue #1 and am working on a cover for the next issue. I am super excited to be a part of the Grumpy Cat team!"

Ken Haeser, artist: "I jumped at the chance to work on Grumpy Cat when Dynamite told me they were putting out a comic. How often do you get to work on something that is so universally known? Everyone knows Grumpy Cat! And hopefully it'll bring in a lot of non-comic readers to check it out. All I know is that it is going to be a lot of fun!"

Tavis Maiden, artist: "This is literally the first thing I've worked on that my kids think is cool. When I was tasked with capturing Grumpy Cat's likeness and personality for the covers, I was met with grueling deadlines, harsh criticism, and sweeping revisions... er, I mean, praise be to our Fluffy Overlord, may we never be good enough for her."

Ben McCool, writer: "Like millions worldwide, I've had countless chuckles over the past few years thanks to Grumpy Cat. I was lucky enough to attend the miserable moggy's official birthday party last year, and didn't think I could possibly trump it in terms of cat-related coolness. Little did I know I'd find myself in a position to write stories about Grumpy (along with Pokey, her eternally optimistic, happy-go-lucky brother -- shenanigans aplenty are an absolute guarantee)! I'm delighted to be part of such an exciting, fun-filled project, and can't wait for you all to read the madcap misadventures of Grumpy Cat."

Royal McGraw, writer: "Life isn't always roses. Sometimes it's the stuff you use to fertilize roses. Grumpy Cat has become an internet sensation because she's not afraid to voice the grumpy truth... and look adorable doing it. Personally, I'm thrilled to help Dynamite Entertainment bring Grumpy Cat to a brand new medium!"

Elliott R. Serrano, writer: "I'm really excited to be a member of Team Grumpy Cat! Ever since she gained fame on the 'internetz', Grumpy Cat was destined to join the pantheon of animal personalities that have captured our imagination. Grumpy Cat gets to say the things that we all think, yet are too polite to say. When writing Grumpy Cat, I had to get in touch with that part of myself that's not afraid to point out that while the cloud may have a silver lining, it's still raining. Let's face it, the reason we all love Grumpy Cat is because we each have a little Grumpy Cat inside of us."

Steve Uy, artist: "Cat memes have become a part of American culture, and there doesn't seem to be anything stopping it. One day, when it overcomes hot dogs and baseball, I'll be able to tell my grandchildren that I was a part of the very first cat meme book with Grumpy Cat, and they will look upon me with awe and respect, and shower me with more love than I need. That is why I'm a part of this book."

Grumpy Cat #1 will be solicited in Diamond Comic Distributors' August Previews catalog, the premiere source of merchandise for the comic book specialty market, corresponding to items shipping in October 2015. Comic book fans are encouraged to reserve copies of Grumpy Cat with their local comic book retailers. Grumpy Cat will also be available for individual customer purchase through digital platforms courtesy of Comixology, Dynamite Digital, iVerse, and Dark Horse Digital.

DYNAMITE ELECTRIFIES WITH DEAN KOONTZ'S
FRANKENSTEIN: STORM SURGE
THE ALL-NEW MINISERIES
SLATED FOR OCTOBER 2015 RELEASE

July 8, 2015, Mt. Laurel, NJ: Dynamite Entertainment is proud to announce the October launch of Dean Koontz's Frankenstein: Storm Surge, an all-new six-issue miniseries. From the celebrated imagination of the bestselling novelist comes a powerful reworking of one the most classic stories of all time, co-written by veteran comic book author Chuck Dixon (Batman, The Punisher) and illustrated by Andres Ponce (Doctor Who, Transformers Prime).

Frankenstein: Storm Surge #1 continues the fan-favorite reimagining of "The Modern Prometheus" seen in Koontz's previous Dynamite series, focusing on cast members Victor and Erika. While healing from a beating she suffered at the hands of Victor Helios - once Dr. Frankenstein - and her own maker, Erika Five decides to leave the comfort of her glassed-in porch and bottle of cognac to go exploring into Victor's secret home lab, which she believes is an antechamber to something more sinister. With the help of the bodiless head Karloff and his disembodied hand, Erika finds a secret lab and within sees experiments revealing Victor's attempts to do more than create a race of super-immortals… and a mirror-like portal to another universe, one of infinite realities Victor is trying to bridge for his own terrifying reasons!

Regarding the new series, Dean Koontz says, "With Frankenstein: Storm Surge, Dynamite has wonderfully revitalized this series. Uber cool!"

Dean Koontz is a New York Times bestselling author whose books are published in 38 languages and have sold over 450 million copies to date. Fourteen of his novels have risen to the top of the NYT hardcover bestseller list (One Door Away From Heaven, From the Corner of His Eye, Midnight, Cold Fire, The Bad Place, Hideaway, Dragon Tears, Intensity, Sole Survivor, The Husband, Odd Hours, Relentless, What the Night Knows, and 77 Shadow Street), making him one of only a dozen writers ever to have achieved that milestone. Sixteen of his books have risen to the number one position in paperback. His books have also been major bestsellers in countries as diverse as Japan and Sweden. Rolling Stone has hailed him as "America's most popular suspense novelist."

Chuck Dixon is a veteran comic book writer with thousands of titles to his name including a record run on Batman at DC Comics (where he co-created the villain Bane) and seminal work on Marvel's The Punisher. He adapted J.R.R. Tolkein's The Hobbit into one of the most successful graphic novels in publication. He is also the author of the bestselling SEAL Team Six novels from Dynamite. Chuck currently writes the monthly Winterworld comic and Joe Frankenstein for IDW, while working on new entries in the Bad Times and Levon Cade series.

Dean Koontz's Frankenstein: Storm Surge #1 will be solicited in Diamond Comic Distributors' August Previews catalog, the premiere source of merchandise for the comic book specialty market, corresponding to items shipping in October 2015. Comic book fans are encouraged to reserve copies of Frankenstein: Storm Surge with their local comic book retailers. Frankenstein: Storm Surge will also be available for individual customer purchase through digital platforms courtesy of Comixology, Dynamite Digital, iVerse, and Dark Horse Digital.

DYNAMITE ENTERTAINMENT ACQUIRES PUBLISHING RIGHTS FOR
SHEENA, QUEEN OF THE JUNGLE
PLANS HISTORIC CROSSOVER WITH
THE LORD OF THE JUNGLE: TARZAN

July 8, 2015, Mt. Laurel, NJ: Dynamite Entertainment is proud to announce their agreement with rights holders Galaxy Publishing and Valdoro Entertainment to publish original comic book and graphic novel content for Sheena, Queen of the Jungle, as well as reprints of the character's classic jungle fantasy material. Described by co-creator Will Eisner as a female counterpart to Edgar Rice Burroughs' Tarzan, Sheena will see her first adventure at Dynamite Entertainment teaming with the iconic "Lord of the Jungle" himself. Dynamite's rights also include statues, trading cards, action figures, lithographs / fine art, and t-shirts.

"Sheena is one of the first-ever jungle heroines, a hypnotic character who has captured the hearts and imagination of fans throughout the decades," says Nick Barrucci, CEO and Publisher of Dynamite. "Her long-running series in the 1940s and 1950s established her as a powerful and wild character, a welcome role reversal of traditional jungle action tropes who spent much of her time saving hapless men in distress. We're thrilled to add Sheena to our line, and we are honored that we are able to make her first adventure a historic one which will bring her - for the first time ever - face-to-face with the archetypal jungle hero, Tarzan!"

Valdoro President Steven E. de Souza, whose many screen credits include Commando, Die Hard, and Tomb Raider, says, "I've been lucky enough to work on some immensely popular, action-packed series. Thanks to Dynamite, Sheena will join them - starting with this crossover that's a fanboy's dream. Hats (or is that pith helmets?) off to Nick and his team!"

Galaxy President Paul Aratow, who in addition to Sheena, also brought Will Eisner's other famous creation The Spirit to Hollywood's attention, says, "When I signed onto this expedition with the Queen of the Jungle, I never could have imagined that the Lord of the Jungle himself would board our safari! Thanks to all who made it happen!"

"When you consider the depth of the legends of Sheena and Tarzan, you wonder why this hasn't been done before," says Jim Sullos, President of Edgar Rice Burroughs, Inc. "We're looking forward to the exciting adventure that Dynamite will create with this crossover. It will become a classic. I've already reserved my copy."

Sheena, Queen of the Jungle was created by industry legends Will Eisner and S. M. "Jerry" Iger, and debuted in the UK publication Wags #1 in 1937 (reprinted a year later in the United States in the pages of Jumbo Comics #1). She was the first female comic book character to carry a dedicated series, preceding Wonder Woman #1 by four years, and her series spanned 167 issues and twenty years. Sheena began her fictional existence as an orphan raised by a shaman in the jungle, perfecting her survival skills and mastering the ability to communicate with animals. Her many adventures brought her into conflict with evil hunters, slave traders, and rampaging wildlife. The character has thrilled audiences in several television and film adaptations, including portrayals by actresses Irish McCalla (1955-1956), Tanya Roberts (1984), and Gena Lee Nolin (2000).

Dynamite Entertainment has a long history of publishing jungle fantasy and pulp adventure, making it the perfect home for Sheena, Queen of the Jungle. The iconic hero Tarzan appeared in the company's Lord of the Jungle series, as well as the related title Lords of Mars. Dynamite has also published Frank Cho's Jungle Girl, the Frank Frazetta-created Thun'Da, King Features Syndicate's The Phantom and Jungle Jim, Alan Quatermain (of King Solomon's Mines) as a supporting cast member in Prophecy and Savage Tales, and Turok: Dinosaur Hunter.
Dynamite's Sheena, Queen of the Jungle comics will be solicited in upcoming editions of Diamond Comic Distributors' Previews catalog, the premier source of merchandise for the comic book specialty market. Comic book fans are encouraged to reserve copies of Sheena-related projects with their local comic book retailers. Individual customer purchases will be available through digital platforms courtesy of Comixology, Dynamite Digital, iVerse, and Dark Horse Digital. Fans and retailers are encouraged to follow Dynamite Entertainment's official social media channels for the latest updates regarding project development and release dates.

For Immediate Release: Bestselling Novelist Chuck Palahniuk Joins the Cast of FIGHT CLUB 2, The Acclaimed Comic Book Mini-series From Dark Horse Comics

July 8, 2015: Timed to the launch of San Diego Comic-Con International, Dark Horse Comics announced today that bestselling novelist Chuck Palahniuk will be a character in the acclaimed ten issue FIGHT CLUB 2 mini series, which is written by Palahniuk, illustrated by Cameron Stewart and colored by Dave Stewart, with covers by David Mack. Issue 3 of the series, on sale July 22, confirms Palahniuk as a character in the series, where he will be a reoccurring presence along with his iconic creations Tyler Durden and Marla Singer. Issue 4 of the series promises to further up the ante and the antics with an appearance by members of Palahniuk's real life writing group, including the novelists Chelsea Cain, Monica Drake, Lidia Yuknavitch, Suzy Vitello and Diana Jordan.
“Literary critics claim that Ken Kesey's mental hospital in CUCKOO’S NEST and Toni Morrison's plantation in BELOVED represent those authors’ post-graduate writing workshops,” said Chuck Palahniuk. “To prevent anyone from thinking my own workshop is either a support group for the terminally ill or a bare-knuckle mosh pit, I've included it in FIGHT CLUB 2."
"Consider FIGHT CLUB’s cultural impact, and you have to imagine its impact, and Tyler’s impact, on Chuck himself,” said Dark Horse Comics Editor-in-Chief Scott Allie. "Fans sometimes blur the line between the artist and the work, and having lived with these characters for twenty years, Chuck’s diving head on into it here. Authors from Philip Roth to Bret Easton Ellis to Grant Morrison have popped up in their own work before, but Chuck’s taking it into all new territory, doing what he always does—giving you an experience no one else can provide."
“By openly acknowledging the mechanics of film, David Fincher made his version seem more real and more mythic at the same time,” said Palahniuk. “By dragging my own creative process into FC2 I'm doing the equivalent of demonstrating splices, reel change-over marks, film breaks and rattling the film in the movie projector gate."
Palahniuk enthusiasts at Comic-Con will want to track down two FIGHT CLUB exclusives. An SDCC exclusive FIGHT CLUB 2 issue 1 comic book, with a cover by Joelle Jones, will be available at the Dark Horse Booth (Booth # 2615) while supplies last. Meanwhile the Penguin Random House booth (Booth # 1519/1520) will be selling a Rare Bird Lit SDCC exclusive edition of the vinyl audiobook release of Palahniuk's FIGHT CLUB prequel story “Expedition." The short story takes place before the events of the bestselling FIGHT CLUB novel and is an origin story of Tyler Durden. The vinyl audiobook features Palahniuk reading “Expedition” from Doubleday's bestselling short story collection MAKE SOMETHING UP: STORIES YOU CAN’T UNREAD, accompanied by music by Brian Jonestown Massacre's Rob Campanella and featuring album art by FIGHT CLUB 2 cover artist David Mack.
At SDCC, Palahniuk will participate in two high profile panels:

RICK REMENDER'S DEVOLUTION WELCOMES
ARTIST JONATHAN WAYSHAK AND COLORIST JORDAN BOYD

July 8, 2015, Mt. Laurel, NJ: Dynamite Entertainment is pleased to announce that Jonathan Wayshak will join as the artist of Devolution, the upcoming comic book series written and created by Rick Remender (Black Science, Deadly Class, upcoming Tokyo Ghost). Also, Jordan Boyd will join the creative team as the colorist. A pulp / grindhouse science fiction epic that blends high-octane action, character drama, a world of strange mutations, and social commentary, Devolution is scheduled for release in late 2015.

Rick Remender says, "Jon Wayshak and Jordan Boyd are two of the very best guys working and I'm excited to see them take this old story and give it new life. Jon spends much of his time outside of comic books so I feel very fortunate to have roped him into Devolution, and when you see the first issue, you'll thank me. I wanted to work with Jon since I was first exposed to his madness in an anthology book with Jerome Opeña and Harper Jaten, two of my very favorite art-type people in the world, with whom he shares a stylistic approach. We need Jon. We need his powers to protect us from banal bulls**t that is always attempting to seep in. Jon is a great storyteller, marvelous illustrator, and world-class stylist. His inks and textures are unparalleled. With Jordan doing his usual masterful colors, we have the new superstar art teams in the galaxy of the universe of power and magic and love and d-e-v-o."

"I am absolutely thrilled about being a part of Devolution," says Wayshak. "I've been wanting to work with Rick for quite some time now and I think this series is a perfect match for my tastes and art sensibilities, which can get a bit extreme. I wanted to get down-and-dirty and draw some really gnarly stuff, and this is the perfect opportunity."

"I can't thank Rick enough for bringing Jon on board. Rick opened up my eyes to an art style I had not seen before, and man, it's hands-down fantastic. Jon brings an artistic quality to the series that few others could," says Nick Barrucci, CEO and Publisher of Dynamite Entertainment. "As you can see from the preview pages accompanying this announcement, he brings out the very best in Rick Remender's script, just as the writer coaxes the very best effort and imagination from Jon. Add Jordan's eye for colors, and the series really rocks! It's a great pairing, and we couldn't be happier."

Joseph Rybandt, Senior Editor of Dynamite Entertainment, says, "Rick is really the most powerful creative force working in comics today; from his Marvel work to his creator-owned work, he defines the craft and works harder than almost any other creator out there. He's hands-on and brings everyone up a level in their game, that's for sure. Devolution will sit alongside his other creations quite nicely, both in terms of his writing and his artistic collaboration."

Rick Remender has written / co-created comics such as Deadly ClassLOWBlack ScienceTokyo GhostFear AgentStrange Girl, and Last Days of American Crime. For Marvel, he has written titles such as Uncanny AvengersCaptain AmericaUncanny X-ForceSecret AvengersPunisherDoctor Voodoo, and Venom. Outside of comics, he has served as lead writer on EA/EPIC/PCF's Bulletstorm game and was a writer on the Electronic Arts game Dead Space. Prior to this, Remender served as an animator on films such as The Iron GiantAnastasiaTitan A.E., and Rocky and Bullwinkle.

Jonathan Wayshak (frequently stylized as "WAY$HAK) has worked as a freelance illustrator and painter since 1996. He is perhaps best known to the comic book industry for his artwork on Ferryman, a five-issue series published by DC Comics / Wildstorm in 2008. He also contributed artwork for the celebrated Wildstorm superhero series, The Authority. His artwork graced the covers of Lost Boys: Reign of Frogs, and in addition to his contributions to numerous indie publications, he has contributed pin-up artwork to Bloodstream, Gutwrencher, and Outlaw Territory.

DYNAMITE ANNOUNCES THIRD WOMEN OF DYNAMITE STATUE
BASED ON FRANK CHO'S JUNGLE GIRL

July 7, 2013, Mt. Laurel, NJ: Dynamite Entertainment is proud to expand its merchandising program with the Jungle Girl Statue, the third in its line of porcelain Women of Dynamite statues. Produced as part of their announced creative partnership with merchandise development company The Brewing Factory, the statue is slated for release in late October and features Jana, the heroine of the Jungle Girl comic book series by industry sensation Frank Cho (Savage Wolverine, Mighty Avengers, Liberty Meadows).

Based on the Cho's distinctive art and sculpted by the ever-talented Jason Smith, the blonde warrior stands atop the skeletal remains of a triceratops. Hand-painted on cold-cast porcelain, the Jungle Girl statue stands approximately 12" in height with a 6" base, with each individually numbered as part of a Limited Edition run. This Women of Dynamite statue comes packaged in a four-color box with a hand-numbered Certificate of Authenticity.

Georg Brewer, founder of The Brewing Company, says, "I couldn't have been more excited when I heard that we were adding Cho's Jungle Girl to the Women of Dynamite line. She is a great character and visually very different in tone and physicality to our previous statues. Jason did fantastic work translating Frank's style in 3D. It's one of my favorites in the line."

Dynamite Entertainment first announced the Women of Dynamite line of statues in February 2015. The first release in the line features Vampirella, the iconic comic book heroine and horror hostess whose likeness in porcelain is based on art from superstar illustrator J. Scott Campbell (Danger Girl, Gen13). Purgatori, the Egyptian vampire goddess popularized in Chaos! Comics titles, is the second Women of Dynamite statue, based on art from the legendary Michael Turner (Witchblade, Fathom). Each of these three statues has been sculpted by Jason Smith.

The Women of Dynamite: Jungle Girl Statue will be solicited in an upcoming edition of Diamond Comic Distributors' Previews catalog, the premier source of merchandise for the comic book specialty market. Comic book fans are encouraged to reserve the statue with their local comic book retailers. The Women of Dynamite: Jungle Girl Statue will also be available for individual customer purchase through digital platforms courtesy of Comixology, Dynamite Digital, iVerse, and Dark Horse Digital. Fans and retailers are encouraged to follow Dynamite Entertainment's official social media channels for the latest updates regarding project development and release dates.

THE POWELL GROUP CREATES DYNAMITE ENTERTAINMENT'S
RED SONJA AND VAMPIRELLA THEMES FOR SONY PLAYSTATION
® 4

Mebane, NC - July 7, 2015: Video game consultancy powerhouse The Powell Group today announced that the PlayStation® store now offers themes for Red Sonja and Vampirella, intellectual properties published as comic books and graphic novels by Dynamite Entertainment. The PlayStation store has just added these exciting new PlayStation 4 (PS4) themes to their offerings, following the success of Red Sonja and Vampirella themes offered for the PlayStation3 (PS3). Red Sonja and Vampirella are long-standing comic book properties that have each been recently rebooted to wide acclaim.

Vampirella is a raven-haired heroine who remains, even after 45 years of publication, one of the comic industry's leading ladies, due in no small part to Dynamite Entertainment's stewardship of the character. Since Vampirella's very healthy resurgence in 2010, Dynamite has published two volumes of a monthly series, several miniseries and one-shot specials, and crossovers with multimedia brands and comic book peers. The Vampirella franchise is a haven for writers and artists with a penchant for the macabre.

Red Sonja, known also as "The She-Devil with a Sword," is renowned as fantasy fiction's most prominent female character, formerly a swashbuckling ally of the Robert E. Howard character, Conan. Her early adventures in the Marvel Feature comic book series led to a successful ongoing Red Sonja solo series, a celebrated run of comics from 1976 through 1979. Dynamite Entertainment acquired the Red Sonja license in 2005 as their second-ever published title, arriving on newsstands to critical acclaim and a very receptive audience. Dynamite has since published over one hundred Red Sonja comic books, including crossovers with popular characters including Conan, Dejah Thoris (of Warlord of Mars), Vampirella, Spider-Man, and more.
The Red Sonja and Vampirella themes for PS4 allow users to view amazing art each time they boot up their game systems, and are available for purchase here:

"At The Powell Group, we pride ourselves in coming up with resourceful and creative ways to reach fans and implement alternative revenue streams for our clients," says Jay Powell, Founder and CEO. "Dynamite has a great depth of content and gorgeous artwork, making PlayStation themes an easy win."

About John Carpenter's Asylum:
There's a war coming to the City of Angels.  In tunnels beneath the city, in the dark alleys among the homeless, demons lurk and Lucifer bides his time. One man knows.  One man sees. One man walks those dark streets. Father Daniel Beckett's seen demons and he's spoken to the Devil, but he's never seen an angel and he's never spoken to God.  Obsessed and driven as much by betrayal as righteousness and anger as redemption, he walks the smoke-filled encampments of lost souls like Dante's nine rings of the Inferno. He is God's warrior at war with God.

With this step into the comic book world, John Carpenter brings it all to the serial world he's loved since childhood.  Supernatural horror with that twist of fate that only flawed mankind can provide.

BOOM!'s Road to San Diego Comic-Con Announcement #10:
BOOM! Announces Philip K. Dick's 'Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?' Omnibus

DADOES Omnibus
Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? Omnibus Cover by Jay Shaw

July 7, 2015 (Los Angeles, Calif.) - Award-winning publisher BOOM! Studios and Electric Shepherd Productions are pleased to announce they will collect BOOM!'s entire 24-issue Eisner Award-nominated comic adaptation of Philip K. Dick’s groundbreaking science-fiction novel Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? into a complete softcover omnibus for the first time. The comic series, as realized by artist Tony Parker, was published by BOOM! from 2009-2011. The new collection features a new cover by Mondo artist Jay Shaw (Big Trouble in Little China) and essays from popular industry professionals, including Ed Brubaker, Warren Ellis, and Matt Fraction.

Dick’s novels revolutionized the science fiction genre and influenced many well-known sci-fi films such as Minority Report, Total Recall, and the 1982 Ridley Scott film Blade Runner, which was based directly on Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?. His novel The Man in the High Castle was recently adapted as a pilot and subsequently ordered to series through Amazon Studios.

In Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?, San Francisco lies under a cloud of radioactive dust. The World War has killed millions, driving entire species to extinction and sending mankind off-planet. Those who remain covet any living creature, and for people who can’t afford one, companies build incredibly realistic fakes: horses, birds, cats, sheep—even humans. Rick Deckard is an officially sanctioned bounty hunter tasked to find six rogue androids. They’re machines, but look, sound, and think like humans—and infinitely more dangerous.

Praise for Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?:

“If you're a fan of Blade Runner but have never read the source material, this experimental adaptation should be just the ticket.” - Village Voice

“Artist Tony Parker does a solid job… He’s given the difficult, unenviable job of turning every part of Dick’s writing into art—and to do so without copying the distinct visuals of Blade Runner. (...) All in all, a great package ideal for newcomers and fans alike.” - Comic Book Resources

“Dick wrote this story 40 years ago and it rings true even more today than it did then. Back then it was just science fiction. Frighteningly today it’s looking more and more like reality.” - Comics Bulletin

“...Parker has wandered well beyond Eisner Award territory and into Pulitzer.” - Popmatters

Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? Omnibus will arrive in comic shops and bookstores this December. Further details will be available closer to the release date.
