HOPELESS SAVAGES BREAK TO RECEIVE NEW RELEASE DATE

HOTLY ANTICIPATED FOLLOW-UP TO HIT ONI PRESS SERIES ARRIVES THIS FALL

PORTLAND, Oregon Aug. 4, 2015 – Oni Press, Portland’s premier independent comic book publisher, announced today a new release date for the next chapter in the Hopeless Savages series. Hopeless Savages Break will now release in November 2015. Originally slated for August, the title’s release date has shifted due to a production delay.

“Nobody is more eager to have the Hopeless Savages back on bookshelves than me,” commented Oni Press editor in chief James Lucas Jones. “While this delay is unfortunate, it’s allowed us to bring fans the best book possible, and in the end that’s the most important thing.”

Anticipation for this title has been high, with a string of luminary creators coming out to praise it as an influence. Kieron Gillen (The Wicked + The Divine) named Hopeless Savages “One of those big early-00s influences on team Phonogram.” Rachel Edidin of Wired implores comic fans, “You should read everything Jen Van Meter writes always… but you should especially read Hopeless Savages.” Oni Press is committed to delivering a worthwhile successor to this renowned series and excited to share this next chapter from the talented team of original series creator Jen Van Meter, artist Meredith McClaren (Hinges), and featuring art by original series artist Christine Norrie.

“I’m so excited to get Break out there and into the hands of everyone who’s been looking forward to it,” adds creator Jen Van Meter. “I’m also thrilled to be working with a team that is deeply committed to it getting out there with everything about the book just right. I’m so pleased with this book, and I know we’ll all be happily rewarded for a little more patience.”

Hopeless Savages Break continues the story of fan-favorite protagonist Zero and her punk rock family. Zero finds herself in college and thoroughly hating it, though an upcoming tour with her band The Dusted Bunnies promises to rejuvenate her spirits. But when a rival band threatens to end the tour early, and without her family, Zero is in no position to fight back.

JUST ANNOUNCED!
BRUCE CAMPBELL’S HORROR FILM FESTIVAL ADDS TWO MORE PREMIERES TO SCHEDULE
JUNE and JERUZALEM To Premiere at Chicago Festival
CHICAGO, Illinois (August 6, 2015) – The second annual Bruce Campbell Horror Film Festival presented by Wizard World, running August 20 – 23 at the Muvico Theater in Rosemont, Illinois (9701 Bryn Mawr Ave., Rosemont), is proud to announce the addition of two more films to the already bursting schedule.
June, starring Casper Van Dien (Starship Troopers) and Kennedy Brice (The Walking Dead), tells the story of nine-year-old June (Brice), who has been shuffled in and out of foster homes for years. Though she tries to be good, no matter where she goes a trail of chaos and terror seems to follow. It’s only when June is sent to live with a new couple, Lily and Dave (Van Dien) that it looks as if things might finally work out. Except this innocent child with the face of an angel is possessed by an ancient, malevolent entity that has hijacked her soul. June enjoys its North American Premiere on Friday August 21.
On Sunday August 23, JeruZalem will hold its U.S. Premiere. Two American girls on vacation follow a mysterious and handsome anthropology student on a trip to Jerusalem. The party is cut short when the trio are caught in the middle of a biblical apocalypse. Trapped between the ancient walls of the holy city, the three travelers must survive long enough to find a way out as the fury of hell is unleashed upon them. JeruZalem is directed by Doron Paz and Yoav Paz, and stars Yael Grobglas, Yon Tumarkin and Danielle Jadelyn.
Films will screen at the Muvico Rosemont 18, 9701 Bryn Mawr Ave., mere blocks from the Wizard World convention hall. Screenings are free for Wizard World Comic Con Chicago badge-holders (space permitting), and a limited number of festival badges and single tickets are available for fans who are not registered for Wizard World.
Festival badges are on sale for $66.60, and single screening tickets are available for $12. To purchase badges or tickets and view Festival schedule updates, visit www.bchff.com.
SAINTS—A NEW CRIME-HORROR SERIES
READERS WILL WORSHIP

A gritty new ongoing series blending breakneck action with occult undertones
Award-winning playwright and This American Life personality Sean Lewis teams up with red-hot artist Benjamin Mackey for an all-new ongoing series in SAINTS. Dexter-style action collides with a Preacher-esque sensibility in this crime-horror series that will launch on October 7th.
SAINTS begins when Blaise, Lucy, and Sebastian discover a Holy War is erupting and they, unwittingly, are the next generation of Saints poised to fight for a heaven that God has abandoned.
“I was drawn in the moment Ben pitched the idea to me: 'What if the Patron Saints returned to earth and their martyrdom became their superpower,” said Lewis. “I had gone to Catholic school, I'm first generation Irish-American, really deep in religious guilt—I thought it was brilliant. It's been the most fun I've had writing something because it deals with things I'm really interested in. Deep things like what people believe in and why, but also funny and frivolous things like heavy metal. The book is thoughtful, for sure, but also insanely funny. Kind of like a Dogma on steroids. That's what makes it a joy."
Mackey added: “In Saints, you have these characters, housing the souls of revered religious martyrs, that still need to eat, sleep, drink, and figure out what the hell is going on in their lives. I want to capture this balance of the contemporary mundanity with a classical sense of the monumental. Drawing on inspiration from John Singer Sargent, Giambattista Tiepolo, David Lynch, 19 Kids and Counting, Eastern Orthodox Icons, and Slipknot… I hope to create a visual milieu that although clean and simple on surface, houses a much more tumultuous interior life.”
The occult rises in this spectacular, action-packed new series that promises heavy metal, sex, and deadly one-liners at every turn.
SAINTS #1 (Diamond Code: AUG150481) will be available on Wednesday, October 7th. Final Order Cutoff deadline for retailers is Monday, September 14th.

August 6, 2015 (Los Angeles, Calif.) - Archaia, an imprint of award-winning publisher BOOM! Studios, invites readers to look behind the scenes of Shakespeare’s Macbeth to see who wields the real power in the new, original limited series Toil and Trouble. Mairghread Scott (Transformers: Windblade) and debut artists Kelly & Nichole Matthews reinvent the famous tragedy by putting the power in the hands of the three witches as they control the destiny of a king and the fate of Scotland.

Toil and Trouble takes the coolest parts of Shakespeare’s Macbeth and flips it around to show how these three powerful witches were pulling the strings the whole time,” said BOOM! Studios Editor-in-Chief Matt Gagnon. “Mairghread has crafted a story of three incredible women whose desires will shape a country’s destiny, and Kelly and Nichole infuse that story with beautiful, lush artwork crackling with magic. I think even the Bard himself would co-sign this.”

The three Fates—Riata, Cait, and Smertae—have always been guiding and protecting Scotland unseen, indirectly controlling the line of kings according to the old religion. When there is a disagreement in the sisterhood, Riata and Smertae will use men as pawns, and Smertae will direct Macbeth to a crown he was never meant to have.

“[Toil and Trouble is] a gorgeously drawn story of a battle for ancient Scotland, that is secretly watched over by three feuding witches and their familiars," tweeted writer Gail Simone (Red Sonja, Secret Six), who got to read an advance copy. "Absolutely one of my favorite new books. I can't wait for the next issue, it feels like a TOP-NOTCH fantasy novel, but with adorable art."

Toil and Trouble #1 (of 6) (formerly The Third Witch) arrives in comic shops on September 2nd with a main cover by Kyla Vanderklugt (Jim Henson’s The Storyteller: Witches) for the price of $3.99 under Diamond order code JUL151089. Also available in a limited quality is a 10 Years incentive cover by Meredith McClaren, and a retailer incentive cover by Haemi Jang (Clive Barker’s Next Testament).

The Final Order Cutoff deadline for retailers is August 10th. Not sure where to find your nearest comic retailer? Use comicshoplocator.com or findacomicshop.com to find one! Fans can print out, fill in, and bring in the order form below to their local comic shop. (Please note that most shops will require payment in advance.) THIS SEPTEMBER, SETTLE BACK FOR PICKIN' AND GRINNIN',
TALL TALES AND A STAR-SPANGLED LINE-UP FROM THE ORIGINAL DOWN-HOME COUNTRY VARIETY SHOW

THE HEE HAW COLLECTION

The 3-Disc Collection ($39.95srp) from one of the longest-running shows in
TV History, Includes 5 Episodes Never Released at Retail, Featuring Country Superstars such as Buck Owens, Roy Clark, Tammy Wynette, Merle Haggard, Conway Twitty, Hank Williams Jr. and Loretta Lynn; Exclusive Interviews, Hee Haw Laffs, Special Comedy Selections and More!

IN STORES SEPTEMBER 8

FAIRFAX, VA - Pickin' and grinnin', singin' and spinnin' tall tales and corny jokes, the citizens of Kornfield Kounty landed on television in 1969 with the arrival of HEE HAW as a summer replacement series for The Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour.  Each week, co-hosts Buck Owens and Roy Clark and the cast of comedians and musicians welcomed the biggest stars in country music to perform their songs and help deliver the legendary corny one-liners.  Though a hit, CBS dropped the show in 1971 in an attempt to "de-countrify" the network's programming; however, it was quickly picked up and became the longest-running weekly syndicated series in television history.  And, this September, Time Life invites home audiences back to rural Kornfield Kounty for some timeless, down-home entertainment with THE HEE HAW COLLECTION.

The 3-disc collection features 5 episodes never-before-available at retail.  These vintage episodes from the late 60s and early 70s, rarely seen since their original broadcasts, feature all the Kornfield Kounty regulars and their hilarious comedy plus country legends like Conway Twitty performing "Hello Darlin'," Merle Haggard singing his classic "Okie from Muskogie," Donna Fargo performing "Funny Face," Tammy Wynette performing her #1 hit "Ways to Love a Man," an unforgettable duet with Conway Twitty and Loretta Lynn performing "Pickin' Wild Mountain Berries," plus other country legends like Charlie Rich, Hank Williams Jr. and many other chart-toppers; gospel classics "I Saw the Light" and "I'll Fly Away" with Tennessee Ernie Ford and of course, even more country classics from HEE HAW co-hosts Buck Owens and Roy Clark.  The collection, certain to thrill any Kornfield Kounty denizen or classic TV aficionado, also includes bonus interviews with show regulars including Roy Clark, Lulu Roman, George Lindsey, Charlie McCoy and Jim and John Hager.  Additional bonus programming includes all-time favorite comedy from the early years in "Hee Haw Laffs," featuring "Board Fence," "Cornfield," "Moonshiners," "Doctor Spot," "Old Philosopher," "General Store,"  "Haystack," "Schoolhouse" and other knee-slappers.

Conceived as a rural alternative to Rowan & Martin's Laugh-In, HEE HAW honed in on country music and rural Southern culture. With Clark and Owens co-hosting, Minnie Pearl, Grandpa Jones, Archie Campbell and the rest of the HEE HAW gang traded knee-slappers and gut-busting one-liners in memorable sketches including "Doc Campbell," "PFFT! You Was Gone" and "Gordie's General Store"-- as well as the all-time favorites "Rindercella" and "Trigonometry" and the unforgettable menagerie of animated donkeys and pigs.  And because HEE HAW was a favorite stop for country's greatest stars, the show featured hundreds of performances by top country stars at the peaks of their careers, like Johnny Cash, Dolly Parton, Kenny Rogers, George Jones, Waylon Jennings, Hank Williams Jr. and so many more.  Though the last "new" episode aired in 1992, HEE HAW remains one of the longest-running and best loved television variety shows of all time.

In addition to this latest DVD release, HEE HAW is getting the Broadway treatment with the world premiere of the new musical Moonshine: That HeeHaw Musical September 2 at Dallas Theater Center.  The musical distills the spirit of the iconic television series and bottles it into an original musical comedy.   Set in present-day Kornfield Kounty, this highly anticipated show introduces a new generation of irresistible characters as it tells the story of Misty Mae, the ultimate hometown girl who heads to the big city and returns home with her slick city-boy beau.  Featuring an original score by Grammy® Best New Artist nominee Brandy Clark and Grammy® Award winning songwriter/producer Shane McAnally (two of today's most critically acclaimed country music singer/songwriters) and a book by Robert Horn, the musical adds an exciting new chapter to the long-running HEE HAW story.

For true HEE HAW fans, Time Life will also be releasing several exclusive sets, only available online at http://timelife.com/products/the-hee-haw-collection or by calling 1-800-950-7887.  The direct response HEE-HAW COLLECTION offers either 11 episodes across 8 DVDs or 23 episodes across 14 DVDs, for approximately $100 or $190, respectively.  Both sets arrive with hours of bonus programming including in-depth interviews and Hee Haw comedy classics.
