UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif. — July 11, 2014 — NBC and Universal Television have announced their plans for the upcoming Comic-Con International gathering in San Diego, which runs from July 24-27.
The network will present panels for returning series “The Blacklist” and “Hannibal” while Universal Television will host panels for NBC’s “Grimm,” its A&E series “Bates Motel” as well as a new untitled series coming to Adult Swim that stars Triumph the Insult Comic Dog and “30 Rock” alumnus Jack McBrayer. Also, Warner Bros. Television will present multiple screenings and a panel for new NBC Friday night series “Constantine.”
Based upon the characters from DC Comics, “Constantine” reflects the lore of the fan-favorite comic, combining noirish storytelling with the evolving mythology of John Constantine (Matt Ryan), a morally challenged character who doesn’t come down on the side of either good or evil … but ultimately might be the only thing defending us against the dark forces from beyond.
There will be a huge presence for “Constantine” at Comic-Con, including at Gaslamp Square (Thursday-Sunday between the Hard Rock Hotel and the Convention Center) where a 3-D experience will immerse fans in the world of “Constantine.” Limited edition souvenirs will also be given away.
Comic-Con fans will have a chance to see the world premiere of the “Constantine” pilot as part of Warner Bros. Television’s annual Preview Night screenings on Wednesday, July 23 at 6 p.m. in Ballroom 20.
The Warner Bros. Television panel for “Constantine” is set for Saturday, July 26 at 5:15 p.m. in room 6BCF. Additionally, on Saturday, July 26 at 8 p.m. in Hall H, “Constantine” will be included in the Warner Bros. Television/DC Entertainment three-hour special Comic-Con event, with cast members and executive producers making appearances on the Hall H stage and footage from the pilot being screened.
To discuss its phenomenal first season, as well as what’s ahead for season two, Raymond “Red” Reddington himself, James Spader, will headline “The Blacklist” panel on Saturday, July 26 at 1:45 p.m. in room 6A. In addition to Spader, executive producers Jon Bokenkamp and John Eisendrath will participate in the panel, which will be moderated by TV Guide’s Michael Schneider.
The No. 1 new series of the 2013-14 season, “The Blacklist” will take over Tin Fish Restaurant at Gaslamp Square (Thursday-Sunday). Fans will be able to get on “The Blacklist” via a custom photo opportunity and also receive “Blacklist” souvenirs.  
Friday night fave “Grimm” will return to Comic-Con with a panel on Saturday, July 26 at 3 p.m. in Ballroom 20 that will feature an exclusive video. The panel, moderated by Mary McNamara of the Los Angeles Times, will include cast members David Giuntoli, Russell Hornsby, Bitsie Tulloch, Silas Weir Mitchell, Sasha Roiz, Reggie Lee, Bree Turner and Claire Coffee, as well as executive producers David Greenwalt, Jim Kouf and Norberto Barba.
For the critically beloved drama “Hannibal,” which says is “unlike anything else on TV or anything that ever has been on TV,” the panel will include cast members Caroline Dhavernas, Aaron Abrams and Scott Thompson, as well as executive producers Bryan Fuller, Martha De Laurentiis, Steve Lightfoot and David Slade. The panel, organized by Gaumont International Television and moderated by U.K. talk show host Jonathan Ross, will take place Thursday, July 24 at 4:45 p.m. in Ballroom 20.
Executive producers Carlton Cuse and Kerry Ehrin will be joined by the cast, including Vera Farmiga in her Emmy Award-nominated role as Norma Bates, Freddie Highmore, Olivia Cooke and Nestor Carbonell to discuss the hit series. Fans will hear firsthand details about what is to come in season three debuting in 2015. The panel will be moderated by Dan Snierson from Entertainment Weekly on Friday, July 25 at 3:30 p.m. in Room 6A.

Legends at Center of First-Ever Branded Takeover of San Diego Airport

TNT is bringing its eagerly anticipated drama Legends to Comic-Con International: San Diego 2014 with multiple events and initiatives, including the first-ever branded takeover of San Diego International Airport. The gripping undercover drama starring Sean Bean (Game of Thrones, The Lord of the Rings) is the centerpiece of TNT's extensive presence at this year's Comic-Con, which takes place July 24-27 at the San Diego Convention Center.

This year's Comic-Con will also feature events spotlighting TNT's top-rated new series The Last Ship, including a party with CraveOnline aboard the USS Midway, and Falling Skies, with a special alien cocoon experience highlighting a key element in the show's fourth season. In addition, stars and producers from all three shows are set to participate in discussion panels and Q&A sessions.

LEGENDS airport takeoverTNT's Comic-Con invasion will begin with the Legends takeover of San Diego International Airport, marking the first time a brand has ever taken over the airport. Travelers flying into San Diego the week of July 21 will be greeted with Legends imagery and messaging throughout the airport, including at baggage claim carousels and on escalators and skyway bridges. The Legends messaging will also extend to other parts of San Diego, with eye-catching billboards in the Gaslamp Quarter.

During Comic-Con, TNT is set to feature a Legends panel with cast members Ali Larter (Heroes), Morris Chestnut (American Horror Story, Nurse Jackie) and Tina Majorino (Grey's Anatomy, True Blood), and executive producers Howard Gordon (Homeland, 24) and David Wilcox (Fringe). The session will open with a screening of the entire first episode of the series. Following the screening and panel, Legends cast members are set to participate in an autograph-signing session.

TNT is also set to launch a social media initiative supporting Legends in conjunction with its Comic-Con presence. The network is encouraging fans of actor Sean Bean to use the hashtag #DontKillSeanBean in social media postings about the show. The hashtag plays on the fact that Bean has died in more than 20 acting roles, including the two characters for which he is widely known: Boromir in The Lord of the Rings trilogy and Eddard "Ned" Stark in the series Game of Thrones. The hashtag will have its own tumblr page and will be featured on Legends premium items being handed out to Comic-Con attendees.

THE LAST SHIPTNT is teaming up with CraveOnline to rock Comic-Con with a Friday night party celebrating The Last Ship aboard the USS Midway. The party will feature a live performance by psychedelic rock duo MGMT, with Canadian producer-musician-singer-songwriter Grimes set to open.

TNT will also present a panel set to feature The Last Ship stars Eric Dane, Rhona Mitra, Adam Baldwin and Charles Parnell and executive producers Hank Steinberg and Steven Kane. The session will include Q&A from the audience and exclusive video clips previewing what's to come during the rest of the first season.

Falling Skies

FALLING SKIES cocoonTNT has a fascinating Comic-Con experience in store for fans of the epic sci-fi series Falling Skies. The network is transforming the Falling Skies booth at Comic-Con into an alien cocoon that plays a pivotal part in the July 27 episode. Comic-Con attendees will have the opportunity to pose for pictures inside the large, translucent cocoon, which features fluid-pumping vessels and atmospheric lights and sound designed to make the entire structure look alive.

In addition to the booth experience, Falling Skies stars Noah Wyle, Moon Bloodgood, Drew Roy, Will Patton, Sarah Carter, Maxim Knight, Scarlett Byrne and Doug Jones and executive producer David Eick are slated to participate in a panel on the show's current fourth season. The Falling Skies session will also include video clips from upcoming episodes, plus the world premiere of the trailer for the upcoming video game Falling Skies: The Game.
