The Philadelphia Free Library proudly hosts Gilbert and Jaime Hernandez for a presentation in the Free Library's Montgomery Auditorium starting at followed by a Q & A session. After the talk, fans and friends can get their Love and Rockets books signed in the Library Lobby from 8:30-10:30 at night.

Friday nights may never be the same especially after September 21st when the avid fans of punk, the Hernandez Brothers, bring the house down at The Rock Shop starting at 7pm.

The Love and Rockets East Coast Tour will end with a stop at the Brooklyn Book Festival on Sunday, September 23rd. Gilbert Hernandez will join many other creators on The Sex Panel: Taboo in Pictures featuring obscenity, art and the area between the two. Meanwhile Jaime Hernandez stars on a panel called Worlds Built Over Time: Panel to Page, Book to Series on world building and character development in the long term. Book signings will follow each panel discussion.

The Rocky Horror Picture Show Comic Does Time Warp Again!
                Cult Film Adaptation Collected in Trade Paperback

August 9.  Transfuzion Publishing has announced the official comic book adaptation of the cult classic, The Rocky Horror Picture Show,  will be collected and released in October 2012.   Collecting the Caliber Comics series, the full color graphic novel not only has all three issues to complete the adaptation but also special features such as the lyrics to all the songs, the fan club version of the audience participation guide including a prop list, and more.

Adapted and illustrated by Kevin VanHook, the official The Rocky Horror Picture Show comic has been out of print for nearly 20 years and will be presented in trade paperback form for the first time ever.

“The Rocky Horror comics were a great hit for Caliber,” said former publisher Gary Reed,  “and while we did a collection at the time, it was just a thick comic with no additional material.  It’s great to be able to offer all the back material in this collection as well.”  Reed is also the publisher of Transfuzion Publishing.

Kevin VanHook adapted the classic film during his time at Caliber.  Afterwards, he left Caliber and ended up at Valiant where he became Executive Editor and also the writer/artist of his co-creation, Bloodshot.  VanHook has also written most recently for DC although he has established himself in film with six pictures that he has written and directed.

Berkeley, CA - August 8, 2012 — In September, Image Comics will bring the first volume of VALENTINE, Alex de Campi's acclaimed digital comic, to print as a 352-page trade paperback.

The year is 1812, and Valentine is one of the few soldiers left of Napoleon's once-mighty army felled by the Russian winter.  LOU FERRIGNO’S NEW SHORT FILM “LIBERATOR” SET FOR WORLD PREMIERE AT

HOLLYSHORTS FILM FESTIVAL

Los Angeles, CA August 7, 2012---Fans of “The Hulk” are storming the internet for tickets to HollyShorts as Lou Ferrigno’s new short film LIBERATOR (www.liberatormovie.com), a 20-minute action-packed presentation pilot starring the original Incredible Hulk, is set for its world premiere this Saturday August 11 at the HollyShorts Film Festival in Hollywood (www.hollyshorts.com). To celebrate the premiere, the producers Coverage Ink Films are releasing the final posters and artwork for the project. The screening takes place at 6:30pm at Grauman’s Chinese 6. The producers and cast that are attending will be available for Q&A following the screening.

LIBERATOR stars Lou Ferrigno as a disgraced, washed-up ex-superhero whose secret black ops past comes back to haunt him as he tries to put his life back together. Like the LIBERATOR character, the heat is also on Ferrigno, as he was recently on NBC’s “The Apprentice,” helped voice “The Hulk” in this summer’s box office smash “The Avengers,” and continues to pack them in at fan conventions around the world.

LIBERATOR features an all-star genre cast including: the stunning Peta Wilson (“La Femme Nikita”) as CIA spook Marla Criswell, Michael Dorn (“Star Trek: The Next Generation”) as General Augustus Pollard, Jessica Jade Andres as Liberator’s estranged daughter Sonya, martial arts star Don “The Dragon” Wilson as Sidewinder, Tara Cardinal as Gaia, Darwin Harris as Duke, and the legendary Edward Asner (“Up”) as President Whitlock.

Former Marvel Comics Art Director Darren Auck created the film’s comic art prologue and graphic novel artist Gerry Kissell ("Code Word: Geronimo") illustrated the film's closing sequence. SyFy Channel’s “Hollywood Treasure” co-host Jesse D’Angelo designed the Liberator suit. The film features an original orchestral score by Tim Wynn, perhaps best known for scoring the hit video game “Red Faction: Guerrilla.”
