April 24,  2014 - Los Angeles, CA - Ever wonder what’s behind that “No Trespassing” sign? Debuting this May from Archaia, an imprint of award-winning publisher BOOM! Studios, THE LAST BROADCAST will show you what you’ve been missing. Co-creators AndrĂ© Sirangelo and Gabriel Iumazark take us deep into the renegade world of urbEx (urban exploration) with the cunning, daredevil members of Backbone to create an intricate, decades-old conspiracy involving vaudeville magicians and occult spiritualists in San Francisco, presented in Iumazark’s fresh, Brazilian/Japanese-fusion indie art style.
“Archaia returned to single issues with HACKTIVIST earlier this year, and THE LAST BROADCAST continues this new wave of beautiful comics that push the boundaries,” said BOOM! Studios Editor-in-Chief Matt Gagnon. “AndrĂ© Sirangelo and Gabriel Iumazark have created a rich, underground world that goes unseen by everyone who stops at the ‘No Trespassing’ sign. Throw in occult conspiracies and a vaudeville magician’s secret bunker, and you have one of the most unique series to hit the stands this year.”
An urban exploration group in San Francisco discovers a secret bunker belonging to the long-vanished 1930s stage magician Blackhall the Incredible at the same time as young, out-of-work magician Ivan receives a mysterious package that points him toward a possible conspiracy involving Blackhall’s death in 1934. Both groups dive into the mystery, not yet realizing that it’s about the change their lives forever. Fans of Thief of Thieves and the film Now You See Me will find a lot that entices them, and the urbEx members of Backbone will win you over as the ragtag, Ocean’s Eleven-style crew of the sewers and abandoned warehouses.
Archaia’s THE LAST BROADCAST #1 arrives in comic shops on May 21st with a cover price of $3.99 under Diamond order code MAR140976. Not sure where to find your nearest comic retailer? Use comicshoplocator.com or findacomicshop.com to find one! It’s also available for order directly from boom-studios.com.

NEW SERIES DEBUT
An all-ages series about a half-witch and her very unusual family

Image Comics is pleased to announce the launch of cartoonist Otis Frampton's charming all-ages ongoing fantasy series, ODDLY NORMAL, coming this Fall.

Meet Oddly Normal, a ten-year-old girl with pointed ears and green hair—a half-witch who will be the first to tell you that having a mother who hails from a magical land called Fignation and a father native to the mortal realm doesn’t make it easy to make friends at school, to say the least! On her birthday, she blows out her cake’s candles and makes an impulsive and disastrous wish. Now, Oddly must travel into the magical world of Fignation to uncover the mystery of her parents’ disappearance. Join Oddly as she navigates a strange new school, monstrous bullies, and Evil itself on an unforgettable fantasy adventure through the vibrant world of Fignation in ODDLY NORMAL.

“I'm absolutely thrilled that Oddly Normal will be published by Image Comics,” said Frampton. “It's a twenty-year dream-come-true to have a creator-owned book at the company that made me want to make comics professionally. When I sent out submissions for this book, Image was my ‘never gonna happen, but I gotta take the shot’ company. I couldn't be happier with how that long-shot pitch turned out!”

ODDLY NORMAL is an all-ages fantasy adventure in the tradition of The Wonderful Wizard of Oz and Alice's Adventures In Wonderland coming to Image Comics in the Fall.

Frampton will attend C2E2 this weekend and will be at Artist Alley table G15, Friday-Sunday, all day.

In celebration of more than a year of battles and two billion play sessions, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and DC Entertainment today announced that Injustice: Gods Among Us for iPad, iPhone and iPod touch is now offering an all-new multiplayer mode. Developed from the ground up by award-winning NetherRealm Studios, players can now engage in battle with other players’ teams to score currency, experience and Gear Cards that can equip characters with new powers.   This update also brings in brand new Gold Characters, increased promotion and level caps, a new Challenge Character Booster Pack, and Bonus Missions.  The Android update is scheduled to be available in May.

The newly available multiplayer mode allows fans to assemble their own custom team of Heroes and Villains to pit against other players’ teams. Multiplayer battles can be viewed after the fact via Match Replay, letting players identify their strengths and weaknesses, allowing them to strategically customize their team for the next fight.  Also new to the game is the ability to upgrade character stats and performance with Gear that is awarded based on one’s raking in the leaderboard system.

Originally launched in April 2013, Injustice: Gods Among Us is a free-to-play game that features a collectible card mechanic and engages players in 3-on-3 tag-team combat.  Players can build up their roster and pit a huge cast of DC Comics’ most popular icons such as Batman, Superman, The Flash, Wonder Woman, Green Arrow, Aquaman and more against one another.  Injustice: Gods Among Us players can take this game to the next level through a connected digital ecosystem linking the mobile and console versions, providing in-game benefits through cross-platform play.  Fans who play on the mobile version and also own the PlayStation®4 computer entertainment system, PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system or Xbox 360® games and entertainment system versions are able to unlock content in the console versions that is available in the mobile game, and vice versa, by registering for a Warner Bros. What others are saying about T Pub:
"Neil Gibson is an undiscovered Brian Michael Bendis" - Bleeding Cool
"Gibson has a talent for suspense and it really flourishes in his writing...he takes a left turn right in front of you, cuts off your train of thought and leaves your mind crashed and wondering what just happened -- in a good way, of course."Comics Bulletin
"Neil Gibson does everything he needs to and in just 24 pages creates a life, a problem and delivers enough suspense to make us intrigued." -Forbidden Planet
"Well written and illustrated, this is a fantastic story that leaves you feeling sorry for the main character. What makes this such a gripping read is the slow and steady build up and evenly sectioned story." - Pages&Panels
