Dark Horse Deluxe Announces Exclusive
Comic-Con International Domo Variant

Japan’s favorite television network mascot is taking a giant-size bite into America’s pop-culture consciousness, and Dark Horse is helping him nibble away at the edges with a sold-out series of custom vinyl figures. Although the character depicted is normally seen in his natural brown hue as an animated character or on licensed products, the Japanese property owner and its master agent, Big Tent Entertainment, have allowed Dark Horse Deluxe to introduce limited editions of flocked vinyl figures in rare variant colors. Response has been strong, and all the color variant figures sold out in advance of publication. A new, previously unannounced variant flocked vinyl Domo in bright canary yellow is being readied for distribution as an exclusive at Comic-Con International, which takes place July 2327 in San Diego. Although the event is expected to draw over 150,000 attendees, only 400 of the yellow figures are being produced, and will be sold on a first-come, first-serve basis at the Dark Horse Comics exhibit booth. Domo has enjoyed great success with Japanese youth, and has fostered increasing recognition in the American anime community over the last few years.

In addition to the 8 vinyl figures, Dark Horse has produced a highly successful line of Domo products, including a self-mailer stationery set, two journals (one in the shape of Domo), an embroidered patch, and a sculpted magnet. Future licensed products in development include a line of 5.5 vinyl figures, again featuring color variants, and a very large 18 limited-edition version. The canary yellow Domo will be sold exclusively during Comic-Con International for a retail price of $50.

Summer getaways with the B.P.R.D.

With Hellboy II: The Golden Army coming in July, there’s no better
time to get up to speed on what’s happening with the characters in
the B.P.R.D. Dark Horse will be releasing three new B.P.R.D. titles
by Mike Mignola and B.P.R.D. vet John Arcudi into the Hellboy
Universe for summer reading pleasure—with new revelations for Liz
Sherman and the origin story for Johann Kraus, as well as a bit of
backstory for the Bureau’s battle with the infamous frog creatures.

June 5th will see the first installment of War on Frogs—a series of
four one-shots that pick up from the March-April B.P.R.D. feature on
MySpace Dark Horse Presents. Renowned artist Herb Trimpe (The
Incredible Hulk) joins regular B.P.R.D. writer John Arcudi and
Hellboy creator Mike Mignola, with Guy Davis handling the inking, for
the first one-shot story in this series that will feature a different
legendary comics artist for each issue. War on Frogs chronicles the
Bureau for Paranormal Research and Defense's fight against the frog
monsters, set mostly between the events of B.P.R.D.: Plague of Frogs
and B.P.R.D.: The Black Flame. As the frog cult spreads across
America, Roger the Homunculus returns to the site of the B.P.R.D.'s
first clash with the frog creatures—the ruins of Cavendish Hall,
where Hellboy, Abe, and Liz first encountered both the frogs and
Rasputin (Hellboy: Seed of Destruction)—to track down the final
pieces of the puzzle of the Cavendish family. War on Frogs #2 is
scheduled for a December release and will feature art by Eisner Hall-
of-Famer John Severin (Two Fisted Tales)!

On June 18th, The Ectoplasmic Man arrives! This one-shot comic tells
the origin of Johann Kraus—corresponding with Johann's appearance in
Hellboy II: The Golden Army, and including previously unrevealed
details of how he came to be. Mignola/Arcudi team up with illustrator
Ben Stenbeck (Living with the Dead) to round out the creative team!
The Ectoplasmic Man is the ideal introduction to one of the most
peculiar members of the remarkable Bureau for Paranormal Research and
Defense.

Finally, on July 9th, Mignola and Arcudi reunite with long-time
B.P.R.D. illustrator Guy Davis for B.P.R.D: The Warning, a five-issue
series that immediately follows the events of B.P.R.D.: Killing Ground.
The team rushes to track down the mysterious gentleman who's been
appearing in Liz's visions, as a slew of old enemies menace the
Bureau from all sides in a catastrophic escalation to the end of the
world.

“I’m excited,” says Mike Mignola. “B.P.R.D. is really picking
up speed now. Fans can start girding their loins for big,
catastrophic changes to come.”

“As many changes as we've already seen take place in the
B.P.R.D.,” says John Arcudi, “now is when it really starts getting
nuts!”
VIZ MEDIA’S SHONEN JUMP WELCOMES BLEACH MANGA CREATOR TITE KUBO
FOR ULTRA-RARE APPEARANCE AT
2008 SAN DIEGO COMIC-CON INTERNATIONAL

Creator Of BLEACH And ZOMBIEPOWDER. Manga To Appear On Special Panel and For Signings At VIZ Media Booth #4113

San Francisco, CA, May 21, 2008 – VIZ Media, LLC (VIZ Media), one of the entertainment industry's most innovative and comprehensive publishing, animation and licensing companies, has announced that its SHONEN JUMP magazine will welcome prolific manga (graphic novel) creator Tite Kubo for a series of rare in-person appearances beginning on Friday, July 25 at the 2008 San Diego Comic-Con International.

Mr. Kubo is the creator of the wildly successful manga series BLEACH and ZOMBIE POWDER. and this is the first time the artist will appear at a North American convention. Both series are published domestically by VIZ Media and BLEACH is currently serialized in SHONEN JUMP Magazine. Comic-Con International is renowned as the nation’s largest comic book and science fiction event and takes place July 24-27 at the Convention Center in San Diego, CA. VIZ Media will be located in Booth 4113.

Mr. Kubo is scheduled to appear throughout Comic-Con and to provide insight regarding his past, current and future projects on SHONEN JUMP magazine’s panel discussion and to further greet fans at VIZ Media’s booth and sign autographs twice on Saturday, July 26. Details will be issued shortly as times are still to be determined, but fans are also encouraged to regularly check http://www.shonenjump.com for updates.

Tite Kubo made his debut in 1999 with ZOMBIEPOWDER., a four-volume series serialized in Japan’s Weekly Shonen Jump until 2000. His second series, BLEACH, firmly established Mr. Kubo as major manga talent. Beginning its serialization in 2001, BLEACH remains a mainstay in the pages of Weekly Shonen Jump and has spawned more than 300 chapters to-date. BLEACH was further named a winner of the prestigious Shogakukan Manga Award in 2005. Published domestically by VIZ Media, BLEACH manga volumes have sold over 1.2 million copies to-date in the United States and the series is serialized monthly in SHONEN JUMP magazine. The title was further developed into a popular animated series that is distributed domestically by VIZ Media and seen weekly by millions on Cartoon Network.

Mr. Kubo begins his appearances on Friday evening at 8 p.m., when he is scheduled to make opening remarks at VIZ Media’s theatrical screening of the first BLEACH feature film, BLEACH THE MOVIE: MEMORIES OF NOBODY, scheduled to take place in a theatre in downtown San Diego. Seating is limited and convention attendees are encouraged to stop by the VIZ Media booth prior to the event to secure tickets, which will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.

BLEACH, rated T for Teens, follows the adventures of Ichigo, a fifteen-year-old student with the ability to see ghosts. When his family is attacked by a Hollow—a malevolent lost soul—Ichigo encounters Rukia, a Soul Reaper, and inadvertently absorbs her powers. Now, he’s dedicating his life to protecting the innocent and helping tortured souls find peace. The pair encounters plenty of action as they investigate an intriguing range of spiritual mysteries and frequently run into all manner of malevolent and usually violent spirits and demons that are reluctant to return to their own world peacefully.

“VIZ Media and SHONEN JUMP magazine are privileged and extremely excited to welcome Tite Kubo to the 2008 Comic-Con International,” says Marc Weidenbaum, Editor-in-Chief of Shonen Jump Magazine and Vice President, Original Publishing, at VIZ. “His BLEACH and ZOMBIEPOWDER. manga series have set new benchmarks in the field. BLEACH holds the attention of millions of fans internationally, and we look forward to offering those fans this very rare opportunity to interact with him personally. This is an incredibly rare situation when the manga creator of a weekly-serialized title is taking time apart from his busy work to visit with his fans outside Japan. I can’t imagine a better way to celebrate SHONEN JUMP’s 5th anniversary and the 40th anniversary of Weekly Shonen Jump, the Japanese magazine in which BLEACH is originally serialized. The enormous audience of manga fans at Comic-Con this year will truly have a hero around whom to rally.”

Ten lucky winners of a contest held by VIZ Media's parent company Shueisha, Inc., are also being flown from Japan to attend the Comic-Con Festivities as ambassadors from Shueisha and will participate in welcoming Mr. Kubo. Fans are encouraged to support BLEACH Day (Saturday) in their best BLEACH gear and will even have the opportunity to win great prizes if spotted in official BLEACH attire.

ASP ANNOUNCES COMPANY RESTRUCTURING
Co-publisher Aki Liao to leave company; ASP will also strive to correct and improve company’s scheduling delays

Kearny, NJ -- May 21, 2008 -- It’s been a busy couple of years here at Archaia Studios Press as the company has produced a growing catalog of award-winning and critically acclaimed comic books and graphic novels. But ASP has also run into a few growing pains along the way---as does any new publishing company---and today must announce that it must take a moment to restructure following the decision of Aki Liao, ASP’s co-publisher, to step back from an ongoing role at the company for personal reasons.

“Mark and I started ASP Comics as a hobby business in classic ‘two-guys-in-a-garage’ fashion, and that hobby business has grown well beyond its initial size and scope. In fact, well beyond my expectations,” said Aki Liao. “Along the way, we’ve built up a line of comic books and graphic novels of the highest quality. It’s been an amazing ride, and I enjoyed meeting a lot of wonderful people along the way, especially the talented group of creators that I’ve had the good fortune to work with. It is with a sad heart that I depart as I’m no longer able to give the company the kind of commitment it requires and wish everyone at ASP the best for the future.”

Ken Light, an investment banker at the DAK Group specializing in small to mid-size company divestitures, sales, and acquisitions, will be assisting ASP in the search for an outside investor or strategic partner to acquire Aki’s stake in the company.

As part of the reorganization, the company will also take the opportunity to address internally the publishing delays that have plagued it of late to ensure a smooth schedule that satisfies not only its own standards but also that of its creators and the expectations of fans and retailers.

“Our growth in the last year has clearly strained our workflow capacity,” said ASP co-publisher Mark Smylie. “Lateness has historically been a problem with many creator-driven and creator-owned titles, but our own workflow issues have exacerbated the situation. We are as frustrated with our struggle to get books out on time as, I’m sure, are our readers, and we want to make sure we come out of the reorganization with a better workflow and solicitation process model. So while there will be some further delays in the release of recently solicited titles as we restructure, we also want to make sure we emerge in the next few months from our reorganization with a release schedule that we can hit on a regular basis, as guaranteed as possible. We can only ask that our many supporters, retailers and fans alike, be patient with us during this time.”

All ASP titles are available worldwide at finer comic book shops, bookstores, amazon.com, the ASP Store at Indie Press Revolution (www.indiepressrevolution.com) and electronically at DriveThruComics.com. ARTESIA is now available at WOWIO.com, with other ASP titles to follow.

ABOUT ARCHAIA STUDIOS PRESS
Mark Smylie founded Archaia Studios Press (ASP) in 2002 as a new home for his epic fantasy comic book, Artesia (first published by Sirius Entertainment). Artesia, winner of ForeWord Magazine’s Best Graphic Novel of 2003, and its sequels -- Artesia Afield and Artesia Afire -- gave ASP its foundation. Artesia: Adventures in The Known World, a roleplaying game written by Mark, expanded ASP into the world of gaming; the game won the 2006 Origins Award for Role-Playing Game of the Year. Now Mark and publishing partner Aki Liao have expanded ASP to include a line of idiosyncratic and creator-driven comic books and graphic novels in the fantasy, science fiction, and horror genres, as well as translations of several of Europe’s best titles. Recently two ASP titles, Mouse Guard and The Killer, were both nominated for Eisner Awards. More information can be found at www.aspcomics.com

DRMASTER PUBLICATIONS & FLASH FRAME OMAKE PROUDLY PRESENT THE YASUSHI SUZUKI ART EXHIBIT

SAN JOSE, CA – May, 2008 – DrMaster Publications Inc., DGN Productions Inc. and Flash Frame Omake are proud to present the Yasushi Suzuki Art Exhibit. This event in itself is a milestone in the career of this highly regarded video game concept designer, as it marks the first time that his art work will be displayed publicly outside of Japan. The exhibit is being hosted by Anime North, one of North America’s largest and highly attended anime conventions.

Yasushi Suzuki is a widely recognized name in the video game industry, due to his work as a concept designer at TREASURE, one of the most respected video game developing companies from Japan. His art has been used in a number of high profile gaming titles which include Radiant Silver Gun, IKARUGA and Sin & Punishment, just to name a few. Sin & Punishment, a game that was originally released on the Nintendo 64, in 2000, has seen a resurgence in fandom, due in part to Nintendo making the game available for download off their Wii Virtual Console. Yasushi Suzuki’s concept design work on video games garnered him a lot of attention and praise from fans in Japan, and it was not long before his name began to ring bells with people overseas.

In search of more freedom and flexibility with his craft, Yasushi Suzuki decided to go freelance after a number of years of work at various gaming companies. His decision could not have been made at a better time, as he was now both mentally and artistically prepared to venture into new areas with his art. Under the pen name “D-Suzuki”, he has been an active graphic designer and illustrator in Japan, lending his talents to a number of different forms of media.

He collaborated with Softbank Creative on two short comic series, Phantoms: Soul in the Cage and Phantoms: Fiery Twin Souls. The unique gothic art style of Phantoms pleased the appetites of his current fans, while winning over new ones that had previously not been exposed to his work. In 2007, DrMaster Publications announced that Yasushi Suzuki was creating an entirely original work, titled Purgatory Kabuki. The project was to be his first full–length manga; so naturally, fans and industry alike were very excited about the forthcoming publication. What was even more surprising than the announcement itself was news that DrMaster was planning to publish Purgatory Kabuki in English first, which is unheard of in the manga industry.

His work has also graced the covers of various fantasy and sci-fi novels in Japan, for authors such as Kazma Sinjow, Hidehiko Maki, Tatsuaki Ishiguro and Kyoko Hino. Suzuki-san also provided cover illustrations for the Japanese version of A Song of Ice and Fire, by New York Times bestselling author, George R.R. Martin. Konami, a powerhouse in the video game industry, contracted Suzuki-san to do promotional art work for their PlayStation 2 title, Zone of Enders: The Second Runner. Those who are unfamiliar with his work will also find quite a few illustrations by him in the Duel Masters trading card series, which is known globally as one of the most popular trading card games.

In the summer of 2007, DrMaster released The Art of Yasushi Suzuki. The publication was a full-color, soft cover art book that consisted of a total of eighty-four pages. It compiled various art works throughout his career as a graphic designer and illustrator. A number of original illustrations were included in the art book, as well as these extras; a foreword by Dave Halverson (Editor in Chief of Play Magazine), a sneak peak at Purgatory Kabuki, as well as interviews with Yasushi Suzuki. The art book is still widely available, and for fans of his work, or rather anyone who appreciates great art, this publication is a must have!

The Yasushi Suzuki Art Exhibit will be the feature attraction at the 12th Annual Anime North Art Show. The art pieces featured in the exhibit are taken from various works by Yasushi Suzuki, and include his artistic and design contributions to video games, as well as other media he has illustrated for. There will also be exclusive illustrations from the recently announced Goths Cage on display. Since this is the first time that Yasushi Suzuki’s art work is being displayed outside of Japan, it is a must see event for anyone planning to attend Anime North!

TOP SHELF 2.0 GOES LIVE!

http://www.topshelfcomix.com/ts2.0

American indie-comics publisher Top Shelf Productions launches today
its new free digital comics initiative, playfully titled Top Shelf
2.0. Updated 5 days a week, the new program will showcase a huge
variety of talent both old and new, introducing creators to new fans —
and fans to new creators — with a constant stream of new stories.

Updates to the site, posted every weekday, will take many forms,
ranging from one-page gags to short stories to chapters in an ongoing
series. With each day's new story, co-editors Brett Warnock and Leigh
Walton will unveil another piece in a rolling assortment of previously
featured artists and new debuts. As a special bonus for the site's
launch, the initial offering features ten stories by twelve creators,
demonstrating the vast diversity of comics and cartoonists involved.
According to the editors' welcome message, "that's just the tip of the
iceberg!"

Among those currently or soon to be featured on Top Shelf 2.0 are:
--the haunting avant-garde imagery of Bart Johnson and Ben Constantine…
--the globe-spanning high-kicking funkadelic fury of Kagan McCloud,
serializing his indie classic *Infinite Kung Fu* in preparation for
the collected edition to be published by Top Shelf in 2009…
--a stunning painted fable by John C. Ralston…
--Jed McGowan working his color wizardry with a beautifully limited palette…
--the freewheelin' mythic imagination of the inimitable Bernie McGovern…
--a pair of young artists whose energy and charm practically shines
from every panel of their cartoony adventures: Chris "Elio" Eliopoulos
and Michael DeForge…
--the monumental TENTH 24-hour comic by the master of the form, David
Chelsea (whose new book, *24x2*, is on sale now from Top Shelf)…
--an inky poetic parable from young Slovenian prodigy Domen Finžgar,
and a Japan-flavored short from Belgian brush-master Stedho…
--the brilliant wit and charm of notable webcomickers Jessica McLeod
and Edward J Grug III…
--the Ignatz-nominated architectural hijinks of Jeff Zwirek…
--plus Aaron Navrady, Steve Lafler, Lizz Lunney, Sean T. Collins, Matt
Wiegle, Matt Rota, Nik Daum, Will Dinski, Willow Dawson, Emily Block,
and many more to be revealed as we keep rolling!

With its unique one-story-per-day format, Top Shelf 2.0 is a hybrid
between a webcomics portal's stable of ongoing strips and a print
anthology's stand-alone short stories. As Walton puts it, "We're
somewhere in between Keenspot and *MOME*." Similarly, Walton's
web-savvy youth, combined with Warnock's decade of experience editing
the Eisner- and Harvey-Award-nominated anthology *Top Shelf*, makes
for a killer curatorial combo.

Of course, the new program is no replacement for Top Shelf's primary
business: the print publication of critically-acclaimed and popularly
treasured graphic novels. "People will never stop wanting books," says
Walton, "especially when the books are as lovingly crafted as ours
(and those of other alt-comix publishers). Rather, Top Shelf 2.0 is
like a little online spin-off of the big Top Shelf brand, like MTV2 or
BBC Two. To a certain extent, we see Top Shelf 2.0 as a laboratory for
new ideas and new creators — any webcomic that gets an outstanding
response will naturally suggest that we consider it for print
publication, but in the meantime we're happy to give these creators
and fans an opportunity to discover each other. Throughout the
process, I should add, creators fully own their work — it's an
experiment for them as well as for us. We're all excited to see where
it goes!"

Top Shelf 2.0 is live at http://www.topshelfcomix.com/ts2.0 and
updates Monday through Friday.
Tozzer webcomic launches!
Get your weekly Tozzer fix
19 May 2008
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Read on for:
-- Weekly Tozzer
-- Get ready for the London MCM show!
-- Interviews n stuff
Hey, folks!
Everyone likes free stuff, right? So to cater for all you cheapskates (I mean, you sophisticated members of the cultural elite), we've launched a brand new webcomic. We've been spreading the word at a bunch of conventions recently, and also pimping our latest book, Peckerwood: 24 Minutes. Our next show is this weekend.
Blimey, no rest for the wicked!
Weekly Tozzer
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Ok, folks, it's the moment none of you've been waiting for - the launch of the amazing Tozzer webcomic! Yes, the strip is no longer just a vicious rumour. It is now a living, breathing testament to our total lack of talent.

Right now, we're hosting the comic on Drunk Duck, but you can also read the latest episode on tozzer.com. Check out the first strip here .

The strips will be updated weekly, but if you want to make sure that you never miss your fix, then pop over to tozzer.com and sign up to the webcomic updates.

You can discuss Tozzer on our forum.

Get ready for the London MCM show!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The MCM show is on 24-25 May, at the Excel Centre in East London. It's always a good laugh, with a great turnout and a dazzling array of insane (I mean creative) cosplayers. If you want a free hug from a disturbed teenager in a wookie outfit, this is the place for you. There's also loads of high profile movie and videogame booths, so if you're a pop culture junkie, come along!
The Tozzer / Peckerwood action is in the "comics village", tables D1-D2. Come on over, say hi, and shoot the breeze with the Tozzer posse!
Interviews n stuff
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
We've been to some great shows recently. New York was a blast, Bristol was bigger and better than ever before, and Milton Keynes was very handy for shopping. We've met some fantastic peeps over the last month, and some of you guys even bought our stuff, so thanks for the support. I'm all teary-eyed!

Now, for anyone who's interested, here's some things you can listen to:

Comic Geek Speak review of Peckerwood - starts at 1h 04m
Comic Geek Speak interview - starts at 1h 02m
Comic Timing interview- starts at 58m
Indie Spinner Rack interview: - starts at 31m
Birds of Geek interview - starts at 34m 30s

And there's a strange and very brief video spot with Filteany - starts at 3m 40s

All the above podcasts are well produced and worth checking out. Thanks to everyone we spoke to - you're an awesome bunch!
That's all for now, folks! You can get in touch by replying to this email, posting on our forum or coming to one of the shows we attend and communicating old-style, like, y'know, face-to-face.

Take it easy,

Rob n Pete
AAM/Markosia announces N-Guard

While on a field trip to the legendary Stones of Nature, Boon, Kat Nip, Klondike and Quickstep find themselves drawn into an age-old conflict between Willow, the Mother of Nature and the vile SpiderSect Empire. Reluctantly, our heroes are propelled into the fray when Mother Nature bestows to them the fabled Amulets of Nature, granting them astonishing powers. Together, they become N-Guard.

"When Jon Bryans got in touch I remembered him from a year previously when he'd pitched N-Guard to us," says publisher Harry Markos. "Back then it was a completely different property to what he brought to us the second time around, and I was very impressed with his persistence and determination to make it work. In addition to that N-Guard looked amazing in its new format, which helped! I thought it was about time we had an all ages book again, so it was a very easy decision for me. It is a fresh and dynamic book which I think will go a long way. We've already had interest from animation studios, which I think would be a perfect fit, and I'm sure you'll be hearing a lot more about N-Guard over the next year or so. The first series is already completed and we're discussing a second series for 2009. I'm looking forward to it!"

N-Guard #1 is available for pre-order now. It has been selected as a Diamond Staff Pick and is also spotlighted. Use code MAY08 3523 when placing your orders.

NBM & PAPERCUTZ AT BEA
Graphic-novel publishers to unveil new projects at U.S. book industry’s
biggest annual event

Graphic-novel house NBM Publishing and its sister company, the
children’s publisher Papercutz, will reveal new projects at Book Expo
America (BEA). The trade show, the largest annual event in American
book publishing, will take place at the Los Angeles Convention Center
on May 29 through June 1.

NBM’s booth, #725, stands in Hall H of the convention center’s South
Hall in the Publishers Marketing Association section. Among the
projects that NBM will have on display:

Moresukine: Uploaded Weekly from Tokyo by Dirk Schwieger. When
Schwieger drew a comics blog of his life in Tokyo, his readers dared
him to do all sorts of things — exotic, disgusting, revealing — and he
obeyed! This fascinating, funny, funky collection looks inside Japanese

society, life, thought, and food.

Why I Killed Peter by Alfred and Olivier Ka. The author retells his
childhood experience with a priest who went too far. It’s an intense
yet nuanced, gray-area graphic novel on an extremely topical subject,
poignantly and sensitively told.

Plus Dungeon: Monsters, the latest in the popular series by Lewis
Trondheim and Joann Sfar; Happy Hooligan, a deluxe collection of the
classic (and crazy!) comic strip; Nocturnal Conspiracies: Nineteen
Dreams by David B (Epileptic), a surreal collection of nighttime
fantasies; and Miss Don’t Touch Me by Hubert & Kerascoet, a tale that
only the French can offer — suspenseful and spicy yet deep and real.

Papercutz, also in the South Hall, is at #1552, with the Macmillan
group. Papercutz will reveal new editions of the best-selling BIONICLE
graphic novels, based on the popular LEGO toys—not to mention series
such as Tales From The Crypt, Classics Illustrated, Nancy Drew, and The

Hardy Boys.
Hi! Hope that you had a great weekend! Sorry to bother you, but I was
hoping I might ask for another moment of your time... and my apologies
for the mass email.

My webcomic, ACTION, OHIO, is entering it's third week of competition
at DC Comics' Zudacomics competition and I wanted to thank everyone
who voted for us and added us as their favorite comic. If you haven't
had a chance, please click to http://www.zudacomics.com/node/438
before May 30 and vote for/add the comic to your favorites when you
have a chance - we're in second place now but need a big push to win
this month.

As I've been telling people, this whole thing works like a big pyramid
scheme to me... so I was hoping to take advantage of the "tell two
friends and have them tell two friends" thing by asking you to pass
along the info to as many people you know as possible. To make it
easier for you, simply paste this pre-written copy into an email and
send it along:

'Hi - sorry to bother you but I was hoping you might help me out with
a quick favor. My friend Neil is a competitor this May in DC Comics'
webcomic competition - if his comic, ACTION OHIO, gets more votes than
everyone else, he gets a year contract from DC to continue the comic.
If you could, please click over to http://www.zudacomics.com/node/438,
register and vote before May 30 (it only takes a moment), add the
comic as your favorite, and then copy and forward this email to at
least two or three friends. It would mean a lot to Neil and it would
mean a lot to me. Thanks!'

Two more weeks to go and there are interviews coming and more great
posts at the production blog. Thanks again for your support and
outreach!

-Neil
