This Fall, KISS KIDS Proves You’re Never Too Young to Rock!
The tiny terrors hit stands in an all-ages new series!

San Diego, CA (March 22, 2013) – Ah, the simple pleasures of just being a kid. Lemonade stands, little league games, advanced fort building, rocking the faces off of millions of screaming fans all over the world while thwarting the plans of your evil school Principal.

If a couple of those cherished childhood memories sound unfamiliar, that’s because they can only be found in KISS Kids, the new series starring the pint-sized rock gods! Join Starchild, Li’l Demon, Spacey, and Catkid as they get into trouble and kick out the jams in strips featuring familiar characters and settings from KISS lore. Helmed by KISS series writers Chris Ryall and Tom Waltz with fun, expressive art by Jose Holder (Mars Attacks The Real Ghostbusters), KISS Kids promises to be a treat for fans of all-ages!

“KISS is used to rocking and rolling all night and partying every day, but back when they were little’uns, those things only happened around nap time,” said Chris Ryall, also IDW’s Chief Creative Officer/Editor-in-Chief. “This series will appeal to kids and Kiss fans of all ages, as we see the school-age band engage robots, evil teachers, other students, and much more, all filtered through the KISS lens. Beth, the school’s Doctor Love, the snooty Torpedo Girls, the bratty “Wicked” Lester, nefarious Principal Elder… they’re all here for this accessible, funny, and appealing new series.”

The new KISS Kids series, coming this fall, is being previewed in the form of a one-page strip on the back cover of all four issues of this spring’s Kiss Solo series. Fans will get their first real look at the Kiss Kids on April 10, when Kiss Solo #1: The Demon by Ryall and artist Angel Medina is released.

"Rock and Roll All Nite….and Potty Every Day," added the L’il Demon himself, Kiss founding member, Gene Simmons.

This fall, there’s only one place for proof positive that whether you’re a Starchild or a Demon, there’s nothing better than rocking and rolling all night and reading comics every day!

FIVE GHOSTS #1 DISAPPEARS FROM SHELVES

Miniseries debut sells out, gets second printing

In an astonishing debut, the first issue of the Image Comics series FIVE GHOSTS: THE HAUNTING OF FABIAN GRAY by Frank Barbiere and Chris Mooneyham has sold out the same day as its release, March 20. The issue will immediately go back to press, and the second printing (Diamond Comics code FEB138330) is available to pre-order now and will be in stores on April 17, the same day as FIVE GHOSTS #2.
FIVE GHOSTS tells the story of Fabian Gray, a treasure-hunter haunted by five spirits of literary archetypes: the Wizard, the Archer, the Detective, the Samurai, and the Vampire. Gray draws on the talents and abilities of these five spirits as he embarks on the most important mission of his life — to save his twin sister Silvia, lost to him ever since the ghosts became part of him.
The issue was received with great critical acclaim:
"Five Ghosts: The Haunting of Fabian Gray #1 is an outstanding start to what promises to be a thrilling miniseries. Barbiere's characters are interesting, with believable dialogue and interactions, and his plot is utterly compelling. I'm genuinely looking forward to reading the next issue. With 32 gorgeously illustrated story pages, this comic represents excellent value...."
-Comic Bastards
"People looking for that next big thing, you might want to gaze this way. Five Ghosts has everything in it that a comic should have and then some."
-Newsarama
"Five Ghosts is one good looking pulp adventure comic, on a par with Franceso Francavilla's The Black Beetle.... This is great storytelling and Barbiere weaves plot strands which will bear delicious fruit. "
-Geek Unleashed
"Five Ghosts: The Haunting of Fabian Gray is a great new series with a fresh and clever twist. This is what comic books are supposed to be; fun, action packed and dripping with cool."
-Sound on Sight

JANE ESPENSON AND BRAD BELL’S HUSBANDS IS COMING TO YOUR TOWN!

Dark Horse announces official Husbands book tour beginning on March 27!

MARCH 20, MILWAUKIE, OR—Following up on the incredible response to last fall’s digital comics series, Dark Horse Comics is thrilled to announce that Husbands will be hitting the road in conjunction with the collection’s release on March 27, as first reported on AfterElton.

Written by Husbands creators Jane Espenson (Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Once Upon a Time) and Brad Bell (VH1’s Pop Up Video) with an introduction from literary legend Neil Gaiman, Dark Horse’s Husbands is a comic-book continuation of the sitcom phenom that tells the story of accidental gay newlyweds Brady and Cheeks. In this witty new graphic novel, the couple receive a mystical wedding gift that launches them on an epic adventure—a tongue-in-cheek journey through iconic genre realms—filled with obstacles that threaten to tear them apart: a superhero showdown, a fairy-tale fantasy, a Holmesian mystery, an epic galactic battle, a madcap high-school romp, and a saucy secret-spy thrill ride.

Now, Espenson and Bell will hit the road, making their way through ten cities around the country throughout the spring to coincide with this highly anticipated release!

“We always knew that a newlywed sitcom for the age of marriage equality was an idea that deserved to exist as a show. And we’re so thrilled to see it turned into this gorgeous book as well. The humor, the beautiful artwork from all these talented artists, all the special touches that went into it—all of that makes this something really special,” says Jane Espenson.

ET Online/The Insider praises Husbands by calling it “one of the smartest, most unique and powerful pieces of entertainment this year.”

Husbands, the complete collection, arrives on March 27, 2013, and is available for preorder now through Amazon, Barnes & Noble, TFAW.com, and of course at your local comic shop!

The official Husbands book tour kicks off on March 27 at the upcoming WonderCon 2013! Complete itinerary is below.

Check the Dark Horse blog regularly for updates as cities are added to the tour!

Please contact each venue to confirm event guidelines. Events are subject to change.

Events such as WonderCon, C2E2, MCM London Comic Con, and Comic-Con International: San Diego are held at convention centers and require purchase of a badge to gain entry to the show. Badges may be limited, and securing a badge does not guarantee admission to all events at the show.
