Winter is coming to an end, spring is on the way, so sit back, relax, as we bring you the latest and greatest with Viper. In 2008 Viper Comics will continue to publish unique stories, great art, and generally make life more enjoyable. This is the first news letter of the year giving you updates, and insight into what has been happening with Viper. Enough about the letter, time for updates.




ABC Family Growing
'Middleman' among new pickups

ABC has picked up the light drama pilot "The Middleman" to series. "The Middleman," from writer- producer Javier Grillo-Marxuach, stars Natalie Morales as a twentysomething struggling artist recruited by a secret agency to fight comic book-type villains and Matt Keeslar as the title character, a sci-fi superhero who serves as her guide.

Kid Houdini

The big day is right around the corner - once again, the comic book industry is uniting for Free Comic Book Day! Who needs those other holidays when we've got free comics to give out? This year Viper show it support for Free Comic Book Day by offering Kid Houdini and the Silver-Dollar Misfits. this is what you can expect to see in Kid Houdini: In 1886, ten year-old Harry Houdini runs away from home only to find himself a prisoner in Professor Murat's circus. Using the circus as their headquarters, Harry and his new friends Lydia the snake girl, Hans the legless boy and Jacques and Joe the Siamese twins, form a unique detective agency that will brave any ghost, goblin or ghoul to solve a mystery if you can pay their fee: one shiny silver dollar.
