GEEKY NINJA TO PREMIER AT WIZARD WORLD CHICAGO

Shawnimals designer Shawn Smith appearing at DDP booth to launch first ever plush collectible from Devil's Due POP



Chicago, IL. (June 24, 2008) – This weekend at Wizard World Chicago, Devil's Due will arrive in dramatic fashion with all-star toy designer Shawn Smith and the first plush collectible from Devil's Due POP. Shawnimals' Ninjatown line and DDPOP will unveil Geeky Ninja Friday at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center.



The all-new plush comes equipped for ninja convention antics, complete with a Ninjacon attendee badge and polybagged mini-comic. Smith, who created the Ninjatown line will appear at the DDP booth from 4:00-5:00 p.m. on Saturday and 3:00-5:00 p.m. Sunday, as well as at DDP's 3:00 p.m. panel Saturday at Wizard World. Geeky Ninja joins the Ninjatown lineup of Wee Ninja micro-plushes that will expand this year to include a Nintendo DS game, as well as DDP's new Ninjatown: Adventures of the Wee Ninja comic by Art Baltazar and Franco Aureliani (Tiny Titans, Patrick the Wolf Boy).



Baltazar and Aureliani will also appear at the DDP booth on Friday and Saturday during Wizard World. Other appearances will include writer/artist Tim Seeley (Hack/Slash), DDP President Josh Blaylock (Voltron: A Legend Forged, Mercy Sparx), Mike Bear (G.I. Joe: America's Elite, Voltron), and Incredible Change-Bots creator Jeffrey Brown, who will appear at DDP's panel to show off new shots of his upcoming Balls and Microwave transformable vinyl toys.



DDP will be located at booth #1123 at Wizard World Chicago. Saturday's 3:00 p.m. panel, DDP: The Pop Culture Zone, will occur in the Jim Mooney Room with Smith, Brown, Blaylock, and Seeley on stage to answer questions and make big announcements about new titles coming soon from DDP.
