DANNY FINGEROTH TALKS ABOUT THE ROUGH GUIDE TO GRAPHIC NOVELS AT BARNES & NOBLE ON COURT STREET, BROOKLYN, ON TUES. 9/23
New York, September 17, 2008
WRITE NOW! magazine editor-in-chief, author of SUPERMAN ON THE COUCH and DISGUISED AS CLARK KENT, longtime SPIDER-MAN Group Editor and Marvel Comics writer DANNY FINGEROTH will read from and discuss his new Penguin book, THE ROUGH GUIDE TO GRAPHIC NOVELS, on Tuesday, September 23rd, at the Barnes & Noble on Court Street Brooklyn.
Known for his superhero work, Fingeroth may seem like an unorthodox choice to write a guide to non-superhero, "literary" graphic novels such as Maus, Fun Home, etc. But that's the point. The world of the literary GN is unknown territory to many followers of superheroes. Now, Fingeroth, a figure you know and trust from the superhero world, takes you--via THE ROUGH GUIDE TO GRAPHIC NOVELS--on a guided tour of the potentially-confusing world of the modern Graphic Novel.
In this Barnes & Noble presentation, Fingeroth will discuss the world of graphic novels and present his sure-to-be controversial favorites. Q & A and signing will follow, and perhaps a surprise or two will be in store.
