AMERICAN JESUS, VOL. 1: CHOSEN, the first chapter of Millar and Gross' AMERICAN JESUS trilogy, has been described by the press as Ultimate Spider-Man meets The Book of Revelation as it follows young Jodie Christianson coming to terms with being the resurrected Christ. In the first issue featured on Newsarama, Jodie survives a massive car accident and quickly realizes he has abilities he's only previously read in Bible passages and comic books.
