14 April 2009 - Earlier today Diamond Comics Distributors released the details behind Image Comics' highly anticipated Final Order Cutoff program set to debut this April.
“We’ve been enthusiastic about implementing FOC for quite some time now,” Image Comics Publisher Eric Stephenson said. “FOC allows retailers to test the waters with our all of our new projects, whether they’re by seasoned veterans or comics’ newest names with limited risk while still getting all the benefits of supporting a series from the floorboards up."
The Final Order Cutoff program will include all Image Central titles and partner studios Top Cow, Todd McFarlane Productions and Silverline Books. The Final Order Cutoff retailers greater flexibility to increase, decrease and even cancel orders only twenty days before release. This will apply to not just titles shipping by the April 20th debut, but also those that have not yet shipped, giving retailers the confidence to immediately increase support of Image's full line of titles.
Final Order Cutoff will begin April 20th for titles shipping May 13th.
