BOOM! TOWN ANNOUNCES
R. CRUMB'S HEROES OF THE BLUES
TRADING CARD SET

September 23, 2010 – Los Angeles CA – From BOOM! Town, an imprint of BOOM! Studios, comes the inimitable art of R. Crumb (BOOK OF GENESIS) in R. CRUMB'S HEROES OF THE BLUES TRADING CARD SET in stores this November.

R. Crumb’s original trading card collection is available again! Featuring legends of early blues history such as Mississippi John Hurt, Son House, Blind Lemon Jefferson, Memphis Minnie, Charley Patton, Jaybird Coleman, Big Bill Broonzy, Barbecue Bob and many others. The boxed card set contains detailed bios for each blues legend written by historian Stephen Calt. And every musician or group is lovingly drawn in full color by underground comix legend R. Crumb. Priced at only $10.95 the R. CRUMB HEROES OF THE BLUES TRADING CARD SET is a great holiday gift for fans of the blues or Crumb himself!

“The Blues cards have been a perennial seller since Robert first did these portraits in the ‘80s,” noted publisher Denis Kitchen. “The set is in continual demand from the music market but comics retailers tend to underestimate its appeal as a must-stock item and holiday stocking stuffer. Now that my list is distributed by BOOM!, I expect this to become a perennial in more comic shops as well.”

R. CRUMB'S HEROES OF THE BLUES TRADING CARD SET is packaged in a very cool 3 x 4 x 1 inch gift box and contains 36 color trading cards on heavy stock. Retail $10.95. Ships in November and carries a Diamond Code of SEP100896.

R. CRUMB'S HEROES OF THE BLUES TRADING CARD SET is presented to you by BOOM! Town through an arrangement with Denis Kitchen Publishing Co.
