(Calgary, Ab) Stars from two of the biggest franchises in science fiction are making their way to the Calgary Expo April 27-29, 2012. Gil Gerard, best known as Buck Rogers from the futuristic adventure series Buck Rogers in the 25th Century, will be joined by Richard Hatch, who portrayed Captain Apollo in the sci-fi hit series Battlestar Galactica.
“Gil and Richard represent two franchises that have captured the imagination of multiple generations,” states Event Director Kandrix Foong. “Having them at our show is exciting for anyone who loves Science Fiction, both young and old.”
Richard Hatch, an experienced teacher and acting coach, will be conducting a workshop on April 27, 2012 about Learning the Secrets to Successful Acting, Improv and Role Playing. Space is limited and tickets will

Founded in 2006, the convention has grown rapidly having hosted guests from every genre including William Shatner, Battlestar Galactica’s Michael Hogan and Kate Vernon, Star Wars’ Billy Dee Williams, Hellraiser’s Doug Bradley and Owly artist Andy Runton. The 2011 convention saw 30,000 attendees and is the 2nd largest convention of its kind in all of Canada.
