FELICIA DAY’S GEEK & SUNDRY PREMIERES WRITTEN BY A KID, ANNOUNCES HOTLY ANTICIPATED SEASON 6 OF THE GUILD AND ADDS 6 ORIGINAL NEW SHOWS

Felicia Day, Wil Wheaton, Daniel Strange & The Guild Cast Wow Audiences on Panel As Geek & Sundry Concludes A Wildly Successful 3-Day Comic-Con Line-Up of Events Devoted To Hit Channel  

SAN DIEGO, CA (International Comic-Con) – July 14, 2012 – Felicia Day’s Geek & Sundry, a multimedia company and hit premium YouTube channel dedicated to the best of indie geek entertainment, today premiered Written By A Kid, revealed a new voiceover lineup for upcoming Dark Horse Motion Comics that includes some of the hottest names in Anime, and announced a sixth season of the award-winning The Guild in addition to six new shows to a packed hall at San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC).  The news rounds out the channel’s popular SDCC programming of events, meet-and-greets, panels, games and signings at the BELO venue, in partnership with official sponsor AMD. 

The hit channel which launched on April 2 2012, already features compelling and fan-favorite content such as The Flog hosted by Felicia Day (The Guild, Dr. Horrible, Eureka), TableTop hosted by Wil Wheaton (Star Trek, The Big Bang Theory), Dark Horse Motion Comics, Sword & Laser hosted by Veronica Belmont & Tom Merritt and The Guild. This summer, a new roster of programming will include:

·         Written By A Kid (Premiering July 18th, new episodes every Wednesday)
Original sci-fi, fantasy and horror stories by real kids are transformed into stunning shorts by some of today's coolest directors. The series premieres with “Scary Smash” directed by Daniel Strange, an action story in which S.Q.U.A.T. team (you read that right) commander Gerald (Joss Whedon) engages in an EPIC battle against a monster.  Written By A Kid combines original live-action and animated pieces that truly capture the madness and magic of the 5-to-10-year old mindset.
Directors include Daniel Strange (Between Two Ferns with Zach Galfianakis), Rhett & Link (IFC’s Commercial Kings) and Roque Ballesteros (Ghostbot Animation Studios).

·         The Guild Season 6 (Coming Fall 2012)
The widely popular award-winning web series that’s topped 150 million views comes to YouTube!   
Chronicling the adventures of online game guild Codex (Felicia Day), Bladezz (Vincent Caso), Vork (Jeff Lewis), Tink (Amy Okuda), Zaboo (Sandeep Parikh) and Clara (Robin Thorsen), the sixth season follows Codex as she tries to balance her new job at The Game with her duties to the Knights of Good. The season will also include weekly Behind-The-Scenes featurettes.

·         Frontiers of Geekage (Coming January 2013)
Geek & Sundry’s first ARG! Host J. Keith Van Stratton (Beat The Geeks, Best Week Ever) investigates the people who are pushing boundaries and exploring new frontiers in art, science, technology and more while simultaneously providing clues for a covert and elaborate alternate reality game.

·         Learning Town (Coming January 2013)
In this smart, offbeat musical, nerd music duo Paul & Storm blend vocal harmonies with comedic scenarios as they are tasked with reviving the flagging educational show of their childhoods. In the face of adversity from villainous hipsters, cantankerous ghosts and flammable puppets, Learning Town is one show that has to been seen to be believed.
