THE ONLINE NETWORK ANNOUNCES THE ADDITION OF PAULA GARCES TO THE CAST OF 'ALL MY CHILDREN’

SERIES SET FOR DEBUT ON HULU, HULUPLUS AND ITUNES ON APRIL 29TH

The Online Network announced today that Paula Garces, best known for her role in “Maria” in the Harold & Kumar film franchise, will join the cast of the beloved serial drama “All My Children,” re-launching on April 29th on Hulu, Hulu Plus and iTunes thanks to The Online Network.

Garces will portray Lea Marquez, a smart, savvy, beautiful woman who's devoted her life to a career of fighting crime and bringing down the bad guys. Lea’s career takes up most of her days and nights, which leaves little time for a personal life. That is, until a man challenges her safe, controlled existence and threatens to open up the part of her she'd long since put to rest, her heart.

Garces will also be seen this summer on Lifetime Network’s “Devious Maids,” which is created and executive produced by Marc Cherry and executive produced by Eva Longoria.

Paula made her film debut in Paramount's teen sci-fi adventure Clockstoppers, starring opposite Jesse Bradford. From there, Garces went on to star in the hip-hop comedy Marci X. Among her other feature credits are Man of the House, opposite Academy Award-winner Tommy Lee Jones, James Redford's directorial debut, “Spin,” alongside Ruben Blades which would lead her to star as "Maria" in New Line hit comedies Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle, Harold & Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay and A Very Harold & Kumar 3D Christmas.  Garces’ small screen credits include: CBS "Elementary", "CSI: Miami", NBC "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" and spent three years as Officer Tina Hallon on FX's hit television series “The Shield.”

Expanding her career further Paula Garces created “Aluna”, the first Trans-media Latina superhero character, which debuted at San Diego’s Comic Con in 2011. Aluna is currently licensed to an online game called "Heroes of Newerth" and she is being played over 45 thousand times a day worldwide. Ms. Garces has partnered with Sekret Agent Productions, the creative writing team behind “Assassin Creed”, to rewrite the Aluna comic books. They will release the new series at San Diego's Comic Con July 2013 as a trilogy.

In an announcement earlier this year, Prospect Park’s The Online Network revealed its plans to re-introduce the beloved franchise, through a groundbreaking content deal that will bring premium first-run, broadcast-quality programming to a mass market audience via the Internet.  Brand new 30-minute episodes of “All My Children” will be launched each weekday and available to stream online in HD (when available) via the free Hulu.com service and to subscribers of Hulu Plus making these venerable dramas available in a new format that suits the viewing habits of the digital generation. In addition, the iTunes Store will offer both series via iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch, Apple TV and Mac or PC.

Additional casting details will be announced in the coming weeks.
