The series, which launched last year to critical acclaim and a slew of sold out issues, weaves the intertwined stories of President Stephen Blades, the United States’ newly inaugurated President, and the intrepid crew of The Clarke, a spaceship investigating a possible alien threat in our solar system.

Produced by Oni Press’ sister company, Closed on Mondays, SyFy’s LETTER 44 will be a Universal Television and Universal Cable Productions co-production Executive Produced by Showrunner René Echevarria (Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, Castle, The 4400) and by the pilot’s Director and Screenwriter, Jonathan Mostow (Terminator 3, U-571). Closed on Mondays’s Eric Gitter will serve as an Executive Producer and James Lucas Jones, and Joe Nozemack are also set to produce. More details on this science-fiction epic-in-the-making are expected to be revealed in the coming months.
In the meantime, LETTER 44 #6 hits stores on June 25th, and a collection of the series’ first story arc, LETTER 44 VOLUME 1: ESCAPE VELOCITY, is due to make landfall on July 30th; ensuring there’ll be plenty for eager fans to read while awaiting its television debut!
