Wizard World Comic Con Pittsburgh Added To Largest Pop Culture Convention Schedule, September 11-13, 2015
Company Acquires Event at David L. Lawrence Convention Center from Founder Renee George; 25 Shows Now On 2015 Calendar
PITTSBURGH, January 20, 2015 – Wizard World, Inc. (OTCBB: WIZD) today announced the addition of Wizard World Comic Con Pittsburgh to
its 2015 schedule, bringing the current number of events during the
year to 25. Wizard World acquired the event, set for September 11-13 at
the David L. Lawrence Convention Center, an SMG managed facility, from
founder and longtime owner Renee George.
Celebrity and comics creator guests and other details about the event will be announced in the coming weeks.
“We are excited to have acquired the long-standing and popular Pittsburgh Comicon from Renee,” said John Macaluso,

the Pittsburgh market, a city we’ve been wanting to expand to for many

current contracts between the Pittsburgh Comicon & exhibitors or
artists will be honored at this show. The Pittsburgh fans have been
asking for bigger and better media guests and Wizard World will be able
to provide that for them.”
With
the addition of Wizard World Comic Con Pittsburgh, the largest-ever
schedule of pop culture conventions will include at least 11 new events
in 10 new venues. Longstanding events in Philadelphia and Chicago are
among the 14 returning shows from last year.
Wizard
World Comic Con events bring together thousands of fans of all ages to
celebrate the best in pop-fi, pop culture, movies, graphic novels,
cosplay, comics, television, sci-fi, toys, video gaming, gaming,
original art, collectibles, contests and more. Wizard World Comic Con
Pittsburgh show hours are Friday, Sept. 11, 3-8 p.m.; Saturday, Sept.
12, 10 a.m.-7 p.m.; and Sunday, Sept. 13, 11 a.m.-5 p.m.
Wizard
World Comic Con Pittsburgh is also the place for cosplay, with fans
young and old showing off their best costumes throughout the event. Fans
dressed as every imaginable character – and some never before dreamed –
will roam the convention floor.
