First Installment of Three-Part Fantasy Epic 'Mythica: A Quest For Heroes' Available Now on New On-Demand Streaming Channel
LOS ANGELES, March 31, 2015 -- Featuring fan favorite Kevin Sorbo
(“Hercules: The Legendary Journeys,” “Gene Rodenberry’s Andromeda”),
the first chapter in the three-movie series Mythica premieres today
exclusively on the multi-platform digital network CONtv. Filled with
explosive action, magic, and drama, the first episode in the epic
trilogy from sci-fi and action-adventure powerhouse Arrowstorm
Entertainment, Mythica: A Quest For Heroes, is “the ultimate
movie for fantasy fans, gamers with a penchant for RPGs, tabletop, and
LARPing, and anyone who loves epic tales or wants to see strong, complex
female characters in the lead” (MoviePilot.com). First Installment of Three-Part Fantasy Epic 'Mythica: A Quest For Heroes' Available Now on New On-Demand Streaming Channel
A sweeping fantasy epic that is also an “unabashed celebration of role-playing tropes,” (SciFi Pulse.net), Mythica: A Quest For Heroes is also the first-ever original feature film from CONtv, the on-demand streaming channel celebrating all things Comic Con.
The results of a highly successful Kickstarter campaign, the film trilogy echoes the same characters and themes that appear in some of the most popular role playing games, comics, video games, and more, making it the perfect feature for the CONtv audience.
Mythica: A Quest For Heroes also stars Melanie Stone (Survivor), Jake Stormoen (The Christmas Dragon), Nicola Posener (Dawn of the Dragonslayer), and Adam Johnson (Dragonfyre), and was directed by Anne K. Black (The Crown and the Dragon).
Inspired by her Wizard mentor Gojun (Sorbo), Marek (Stone) escapes indentured servitude and overcomes physical limitations to hone her own mysterious powers. When the beautiful Priestess Teela (Posener) falls victim to a massive Ogre, Marek rallies a misfit team of adventurers, including Thane the Warrior (Johnson) and Dagen the Thief (Stormoen), to join her in a fight to save her sister and their Legacy.
The next two chapters in the film trilogy, Mythica: The Darkspore and Mythica: The Necromancer, will be released exclusively on CONtv later this year. The Kickstarter campaign to complete Mythica: The Darkspore has also just launched, and can be found here:
