BOOM! Studios Announces Panels and Exclusives for 2015 San Diego Comic-Con

July 3,  2014 - Los Angeles, CA - Award-winning comic book publisher BOOM! Studios and its imprints, KaBOOM!, BOOM! Box, and Archaia, announced its panels and exclusives for this year’s San Diego Comic-Con, to be held at the San Diego Convention Center in San Diego, California July 8-12.

In anticipation of the new Mighty Morphin Power Rangers comic book series, BOOM! Studios is proud to present a limited-edition set of six, one-page comics exclusive to San Diego Comic-Con. Each one-page comic is double-sided, blind-bagged, and sold separately in an intermix consisting of all five of the original Mighty Morphin Power Rangers and the Green Ranger. The six comics are designed to be read as individual parts or can be stitched together to form one full story.  Each comic showcases a pin-up illustration of a different Ranger by Spectrum Award-nominated artist Goñi Montes (RoboCop) and a one-page comic featuring that Ranger, written by Mairghread Scott (Transformers: Windblade) and illustrated by Daniel Bayliss (Translucid).

6:00-7:00 'Adventure Time with Fionna & Cake: Card Wars' Dramatic Reading -- Jen Wang (In Real Life), has crafted a brand-new, original Adventure Time practice match that ties into KaBOOM!'s new limited comic book series Adventure Time with Fionna & Cake: Card Wars, and for the first time anywhere, it will be performed live by voice actors Jeremy Shada (voice of Finn), John Dimaggio (voice of Jake), and Olivia Olson (voice of Marceline) from the Adventure Time show! Come celebrate the title and hear behind-the-scenes stories of the making of the Art of Mouse Guard 2005-2015 hardcover with Petersen and editor Cameron Chittock. However, as we’ve seen in the popularity and successes of Legends of Korra, Steven Universe, and Lumberjanes, LGBTQIA+ and queer characters and storylines resonate with young audiences.
