October 15, 2015, NEW YORK – Today, in an exclusive video message, Stephen Colbert announced the launch of his and J.J. Abrams’ partnership with Omaze, a charitable giving platform offering once-in-a-lifetime experiences, to raise funds for The Montclair Film Festival. The lucky winner and a friend will be flown to New York for The Stephen Colbert and J.J. Abrams: Celebrity Nerd-Off, which will feature Stephen and J.J. in a wide-ranging, on-stage discussion of their influences, ideas and creative work.
The winner will attend the Nerd-Off as Stephen and J.J.’s personal guest, join them on stage to ask a nerd-stomping question and attend a taping of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. Fans can enter for a chance to win by making a $10 donation at omaze.com/nerdoff, which will automatically enter their name into the raffle to win what could arguably be the nerdiest (and coolest) experience of their lives.
Donations to Stephen and J.J.’s Omaze experience will directly support the Montclair Film Festival’s year-round film and education programs.
“It's a privilege to once again partner with Stephen Colbert and J.J. Abrams on this latest Omaze campaign in support of the Montclair Film Festival and its year-round programming. Stephen and J.J. are both incredible influencers inside and outside the world of entertainment, and it's inspiring to be able to work with them to use that influence for good. We're honored they continue to choose Omaze for their charitable fundraising campaigns,” says Ryan Cummins, co-founder of Omaze.
