Blanc-Biehn Productions Lands Official Selection for She Rises at Macabre Faire Film Fest
(LOS ANGELES, CA / January 5, 2016) – Blanc-Biehn Productions (BBP), the independent film studio founded by actors/filmmakers Michael Biehn and Jennifer Blanc-Biehn, announces the Official Selection - and U.S. premiere - of new film She Rises at the 2017 Macabre Faire Film Festival, January 13-15 in Long Island, New York.
The twisted thriller also received five Macabre Faire Film Awards nominations, including Best Cinematography in a Feature (Steve Romano), Best Actor in a Feature (Angus Macfadyen), Best Screenplay in a Feature (Macfadyen), Best Actress in a Feature (Daisy McCrackin) and Best Supporting Actress (Blanc-Biehn).
Directed by award-winning filmmaker Larry Wade Carrell (Jacob), She Rises takes a creepy road trip with a film director (Blanc-Biehn) and her leading man (Macfadyen) to their rural set location, a quaint country inn run by an odd, seemingly shy young woman (McCrackin).
She Rises was also an official selection at this fall's Dublin's Irish Film Institute's Horrorthon Film Festival, and a special screening at the event proved to be enormously successful.
Blanc-Biehn Productions' distribution deals have given Biehn and Blanc-Biehn the opportunity to boost their movies' international viewing audience - and the company's public profile - as they continue to create quality horror, sci-fi and action films that tell compelling, emotional stories.
The Macabre Faire Film Festival will be held at the Clarion Hotel & Conference Center, 3845 Veterans Memorial Hwy, Ronkonkoma, NY 11779. Tickets are now available at the Festival's website.
