RAY HARRYHAUSEN PRESENTS: FLYING SAUCERS VS. THE EARTH #1 SELLS OUT!

BELLINGHAM, WASH. (May 16, 2008) - Bluewater Productions announces, RAY HARRYHAUSEN PRESENTS: FLYING SAUCERS VS. THE EARTH has completely sold out in less than a week of hitting the shelves.

The consistently sold-out titles at BWP began in June with their first release; the debut title in the publisher's RAY HARRYHAUSEN PRESENTS series - WRATH OF THE TITANS #1.

Publisher Darren G. Davis said, "People that saw the art were amazed, it is nothing like you see in comics these days. I was so impressed with Alan's artwork we hired him on the spot. We did a different spin on this title, showing the alien invasion from the alien perspective."

An aggressive publicity push was done on this title with the help of having a preview of the comic appear on the SONY DVD for the 50th Anniversary of the cult Harryhausen film "Earth Vs. The Flying Saucers."

This month, BWP said their popular RAY HARRYHAUSEN PRESENTS line continue
selling strong, and will be launching "RAY HARRYHAUSEN PRESENTS: Back To Mysterious Island" in July and "RAY HARRYHAUSEN PRESENTS: The Elementals" in September.

The animated trailer for the comic series was launched today on YouTube and can be seen there at: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0ba-5hbWOH0

"Our books have sold out almost every month, despite many shop still under-ordering the books. Many readers have contacted us still trying to find our books," said Davis. "I got an email today from a store that just bought out our personal copies. It just goes to show that you don't have to be mainstream to reach the market. Readers just want great stories with great art, if you can deliver that to them, they'll come back for more every month."

The newest title in the Harryhausen line, RAY HARRYHAUSEN PRESENTS: FLYING SAUCERS VS. THE EARTH #1, was written by Ryan Burton, with art by Sci Fi novelist artist Alan Brooks, bring you Ray Harryhausen's vision of the 1950s cult classic "Earth Vs. the Flying Saucers" to comic book format! Like every planetary invasion, there are two sides of the story. Told from the perspective of the aliens, see why the Sons of Aberann decide to wage war against Earth, and what type of culture spawned their warmongering ways. See them race on their Screamers in the wastelands of their planet while dodging the beastly Dustspeeds! Witness psychedelic alien fortune telling! And see what fate befalls those who cross the Warlord of Aberann!
