FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Cosplay Fever Red book launch and photo exhibition

London, October 5th 2010. Ablaze Media is proud to present the book launch and photo exhibition of Cosplay Fever Red, at Café 1001, Brick Lane on 21st October. The exhibition will run for one week, and is the first of its kind in the UK.

Photographers Rob Dunlop and Peter Lumby have been documenting the UK cosplay scene since 2008. Cosplay Fever Red features hundreds of stunning photographs of talented cosplayers from a wide variety of genres. Caped crusaders, Time Lords, bounty hunters, horned gods, Cheshire Cats, space elves, winged butlers, fairy princesses, vampires, ninjas, zombies, cyborgs and many more weird and wonderful characters dazzle the senses and provide a fascinating insight into the magical world of cosplay.

The term "cosplay" refers to "costume role-play". Thousands of cosplayers, from every corner of the globe, regularly dress up and role-play as their favourite characters from comic books, anime, video games and other popular media. It's a fun, creative and challenging art-form and a great way to meet new people and express oneself.

Café 1001 is a unique and much-loved venue, providing a friendly, relaxed, bohemian atmosphere in one of London's most thriving cultural hotspots. With delicious food, cakes and hot drinks, plenty of seating inside and out, and a cosy yet spacious front room, it is the perfect setting for the Cosplay Fever Red book launch and exhibition. Entry is free.
