NCsoft Announces Details for 2011 Comic-Con Activities
NCsoft, the world’s premier publisher of MMO’s, is excited to announce their attendance and participation at this year’s Comic-Con International (July 20, 2011 – July 24, 2011) in San Diego, CA. Featuring the latest updates to their hugely popular games, City of Heroes and Guild Wars 2, NCsoft invites fans new and old to meet the artists and developers behind the scenes on the show floor at booth #5345.

As the successor to one of the most successful PC RPGS franchises of all time, the upcoming Guild Wars 2 is one of the most highly anticipated titles in its genre. Building off the stunning visuals, massive role playing environments, innovative combat mechanics, dynamic events and personal storytelling innovations that fans are already excited for, the ArenaNet team will be on hand to demonstrate the recently announced Engineer profession and Underwater Combat areas, along with the opportunity to for fans to begin their journey in the icy highlands of the Norn race starting zone.

Fans eager to see how Guild Wars 2 evolves the genre will be able dive into the deep as they experience the full, unique and complex fighting system that lies just beneath the watery surface of Tyria. Or choose to play as the versatile Engineer profession whose mastery of weapons and technology represents not only the evolution of weapons and combat, but of Tyria itself. Whether taking the plunge into underwater combat, or touring the Norn homeland, fans will experience firsthand how the ArenaNet team continues to evolve not only professions like the Engineer, but everything players have come to expect from their PC RPGs.

In addition, with over 2 million players to date, City of Heroes continues to be the world’s most popular super-powered MMO, where players live out their dreams as a their own unique hero, villain, mercenary or vigilante. Now, following the recent announcement of City of Heroes Freedom, Paragon Studios is giving comic book and pop culture fans at the show a chance to get an inside look at how the team is revolutionizing the franchise while also being able to experience the first playable build of the Incarnate Raids.



NCsoft will also host several other activities during the four-day event including, including:


· “City of Heroes Freedom The Future of Super-Powered MMOs” On July 21, from 4:30 to 5:40 p.m. (Room 24 ABC), the City of Heroes’ very own design team, Paragon Studios™, will be presenting a panel on how they will once again redefine the online gaming space in 2011.

· “Rethinking the Online RPG: How Guild Wars 2 Explores New Dimensions in Social Gaming” On July 23, from 2:00 – 3:00 p.m. (Room 23 ABC) ArenaNet, the award winning design team for Guild Wars 2, will be presenting a panel set to examine how the lore, design, and gameplay of Guild Wars 2 combine to deliver a fresh, social approach to online fantasy RPGs.


· “San Diego Meet & Greet” On July 22, from 7:00 – 10:00 p.m., NCsoft will be hosting their annual community meet & greet at the Hard Rock Hotel where fans can meet fellow players of their favorite NCsoft games while chatting with City of Heroes Freedom and Guild Wars 2 developers and artists. Please note however, admission to the event is limited to NCsoft San Diego Meet & Greet ticket holders only and is granted on a first-come, first-served basis to the capacity of the venue.

Whether checking out the latest from City of Heroes Freedom, or trying your hands at Engineer profession in Guild Wars 2 on PCs provided by Alienware and with peripherals from Razer, the teams would love to chat with you and answer questions you have about their games.
