LOS ANGELES –The Hub TV Network, a destination for kids and their families, returns to Comic-Con International in San Diego in spectacular fashion with a presence at five panels, a live concert, a restaurant take-over and a trolley-car transformation.  The lineup of events includes a panel session featuring famed broadcast interviewer Larry King in his first visit to Comic-Con International in San Diego as he takes an inside look at the iconic TRANSFORMERS Autobot OPTIMUS PRIME and the half-hour CG animated series “Transformers Prime” in a one-on-one interview with legendary voice actor Peter Cullen.

Produced by Hasbro Studios, “Transformers Prime” was recently honored with two Daytime Emmy^® Awards including Outstanding Special Class Animated Program.

“The Aquabats! Super Show!” produced by FremantleMedia, returns to Comic-Con International in San Diego ready for battle with a panel designed to recap their first season of rockin’ crime-fighting adventures and a concert to showcase their extraordinarily unique musical talents at the House of Blues on Saturday, July 14 at 7:30 p.m. PT.  Blending live-action comedic sketches with animation segments sprinkled throughout, the concert promises to be a ridiculously fun event for kids of all ages.  Tickets can be purchased in advance directly through the House of Blues at: http://www.houseofblues.com/tickets/eventdetail.php?eventid=74487

Additionally, the 2012 Comic-Con International in San Diego will debut several first-time panels featuring programming from The Hub including the pop culture phenomenon “My Little Pony Friendship is Magic” and fanboy favorites “Dan Vs.” and “Kaijudo: Rise of the Duel Masters.”^TM  “My Little Pony Friendship is Magic” and “Kaijudo: Rise of the Duel Masters” ^TM are produced by Hasbro Studios. “Dan Vs.” is produced by Film Roman Inc. (a Starz Media Company) in association with The Hatchery, LLC. 

In addition to the ambitious slate of series panels planned for avid attendees, The Hub is taking the Comic-Con experience outside the convention halls with “The Hub Headquarters at the Broken Yolk.” The network will take over the popular Gaslamp District eatery The Broken Yolk (355 6th Ave., San Diego, CA) Thursday, July 12 through Sunday, July 15, and provide conference-goers with a fully immersive experience. The restaurant will feature décor from The Hub, special menu items, giveaways, costume characters, photo ops, and live appearances from The Hub’s talent. 

To transport fans to and from the convention in style, The Hub will transform one car of the San Diego Trolley system to create a magical “My Little Pony Friendship is Magic” experience showcasing some of the series’ most popular characters inside and out. The train will be styled as the Friendship Express train, which is featured in the popular animated series.

Visitors to the Broken Yolk will also receive a secret code to gain exclusive access on Hubworld.com to the eagerly anticipated “My Little Pony Friendship is Magic” themed, 8-bit “Adventure Pony” game already teased on the network.

“My Little Pony Friendship is Magic” makes its debut at Comic-Con International in San Diego!  Join special guests from Hasbro Studios and The Hub TV Network’s “My Little Pony Friendship is Magic” as they share details of the making of the animated series and how “friendship” and “magic” are brought to life.  Also includes audience Q&A. 

Friday, July 13, “Dan Vs.”Special Live Comic-Con Exclusive Table Read  (10:30 a.m., Room 6A)

Making its debut at Comic-Con International in San Diego is The Hub Television Network's animated series “Dan Vs.” that follows Dan (Curtis Armstrong, Revenge of the Nerds), a lovable curmudgeon on a misguided quest for justice that leads him and his pals, Chris (Dave Foley, “Kids in the Hall”) and Elise (Paget Brewster, “Criminal Minds”), into misadventures and catastrophes.  The cast, co-creators Chris Pearson and Dan Mandel, supervising producer/director Brian Sheesley, and moderator Tom Kenny (“SpongeBob SquarePants”) will participate in a live table read of a written-exclusively-for-Comic-Con script and give a behind-the-scenes look at the series.  Audience Q&A to follow.

Friday, July 13, “OPTIMUS PRIME: Up Close and Personal” (6:00 p.m., Room 23ABC)

The incomparable Larry King, one of the most recognized broadcast interviewers in the world, goes one-on-one with voice actor Peter Cullen (Optimus Prime), a talent who is practically synonymous with Comic-Con itself.   In this panel, "The King of Interviews" salutes the beloved Cullen and takes attendees through the actor's early days on the original 1984 animated TV series “Transformers Generation One,” the three box office smash Transformers movies, and his current work on The Hub TV network's Daytime Emmy^® Award-winning animated series “Transformers Prime” from Hasbro Studios.  Audience Q&A to follow. 

Friday, July 13, “The Making of Kaijudo” (7:00 p.m., Room 24ABC)

From Hasbro Studios, the producers of “Transformers Prime,” “GI Joe Renegades” and “My Little Pony Friendship is Magic,” comes a new animated TV series – “Kaijudo: Rise of the Duel Masters”™, seen on The Hub TV Network. Join the cast, including Scott Wolf (“V”), David Sobolov (“Beast Wars: Transformers”) and panel moderator Phil LaMarr (“Futurama”) as well as the Hasbro Studios production team and the R&D team from Wizards of the Coast for a conversation on how they brought the Kaijudo™ trading card game to life in this fantastical new series… you gotta see these creatures!

The band of five heroes out to save the world from boredom - Ricky Fitness, Jimmy the Robot, Crash McLarson, EagleBones Falconhawk, and The M.C. Bat Commander - plan to arrive at the 2012 Comic-Con International in San Diego ready for battle.  Fans can anticipate a special guest moderator and meet the stars of The Hub TV Network’s new hit series.
