Hollywood, CA July 3, Klasky Csupo (www.klaskycsupo.com) is a leading independent animation studio. The creators and producers of such iconic properties that include Rugrats, Aaahh! Real Monsters, Rocket Power and The Wild Thornberrys to name a few, are headed to San Diego Comic-Con (July 12-15) to unveil a broad transmedia vision for the studio.  Klasky Csupo will release two new projects, Ollie Mongo and Splaat! These properties will be premiered during the Klasky Csupo: We’re back! panel session, which takes place on Thursday, July 12 at 5:30pm in exhibit hall #24ABC.

The panel will give fans a behind the scenes look into the company, that has brought us era-defining cartoons, while also showcasing never before seen projects past and present.

Company co-founder Arlene Klasky remarked, “Comic-Con presents a unique opportunity to speak directly with fans that have supported us throughout the years and have grown up with our animation. I’m very excited to share our new characters and digital vision with them.”

The two all-new digital properties debuting at the panel include: Ollie Mongo Adventures in The Apocalypse, a digital comic book featuring a blue skateboarding zombie, and Splaat!, a multi-platform release featuring the quips and social commentary of an animated 16 year old urban philosopher who lives on the Internet.

Craig Singer, Filmmaker and Co-creator of Ollie Mongo said, “In preparing to launch Ollie Mongo, the ability to bring this story to life as a digital comic book created an opportunity for us to remain connected to the traditional storytelling of comics while using new technology to directly reach our audience. Ollie was created as a true transmedia property.”
The Klasky Csupo panel will feature Arlene Klasky, Craig Singer (Dark Ride), Charlie Adler (Transformers), Greg Cipes (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles) and Transmedia Strategist and Producer Tyler Malin (Idea Farmer). The session will be moderated by Digital Media and Entertainment Attorney Phil Daniels of Ginsburg Daniels LLP, and will feature special giveaways for fans, including a signed first issue of the limited edition printed Ollie Mongo comic book.
