ASYLUM PRESS RELEASES ORIGINAL GRAPHIC NOVEL FARMHOUSE AS SIMULTANEOUS WEB COMIC AND DIGITAL FIRST COMICS APP
Farmhouse, a psychological neo noir thriller, is written by playwright Elizabeth J. Musgrave (Hell Comes to Hollywood) and illustrated by Szymon Kudranski (Spawn).  

Sept. 27, 2012 (Los Angeles) Frank Forte announces that Asylum Press will release  the original graphic novel Farmhouse as an ongoing web comic series and digital app.
Farmhouse is the story of a drifter named Sam Corneile who returns home to take a job at a local mental institution where he discovers a group of patients being exploited under an art therapy regimen. While there, he falls for Helen, a feisty but troubled woman who dares him to confront his past. This psychological thriller examines what lurks deep within the human mind, both sane and insane.

“This was my first graphic novel and it was very exciting to see it come to life visually”, explains writer Elizabeth J. Musgrave, “Szymon really nailed the dark and gritty feel of the characters and the mental ward.”

"Farmhouse was a challenging story for me to illustrate, it provided me the opportunity to work in a different style that complimented the setting", says Szymon Kudranski, "If anyone is interested in how my work looked before Spawn and Penguin, they should check out that book."

“We wanted to make the book inexpensive and available to as many people as possible,” explains publisher Frank Forte.

ELIZABETH J. MUSGRAVE BIOElizabeth J. Musgrave is a working writer who has just finished her first graphic novel Farmhouse,  illustrated by Szymon Kudranski (Spawn) and to be published by Asylum Press. Her short story Cattle Call was just published in the horror anthologyHell Comes To Hollywood Published by Big Time Books.  She is currently finishing her first novella, 85 Boys.  Her scripts have placed in Scriptapalooza and Writer’s Script Network. Her play Darwin’s Pâté and short play “The Soundman” were produced in Los Angeles.  Her second graphic novel, Darwin’s Pâté, based on her play, is in production.
SZYMON KUDRANSKI BIOSzymon Kudranski is the current artist on Todd MacFarlane’s SPAWN.  He has worked on such titles as Batman:Detective Comics, Peguin:Pride and Predjudice, Zombie Cop, 30 days of Night Annual, Warlash, Asylum of Horrors, and Repluse. Szymon has collaborated with many publishers including Image Comics, IDW Publishing, Markosia, and BOOM! Studios. Szymon works and resides in Poland.
