HAPPY! #1 SELLS OUT
First Image Comics title by Morrison and Robertson gets 2nd printing

The first issue of HAPPY!, the new Image Comics series by comics superstars Grant Morrison and Darick Robertson, will be in stores on September 26, but as of September 24, the issue was sold-out at the distributor level. A new printing of HAPPY! #1 (AUG128247) has been scheduled for an in-store date of October 31, the same day that HAPPY #2 goes on sale.

HAPPY! is the first Image Comics series for both Morrison and Robertson. Positive advance reviews for the issue have been rolling in:

"This issue packs a load of plot that will definitely leave you full, and that's not even addressing the floating cartoon unicorn. Darick Robertson is the perfect partner in crime for this project. His detailed, scratchy pencils hit a new level of filthy that hasn't been seen since his time on Transmetropolitan. Every panel looks infected by decay and corrosion, immaculately fitting the sociopathy of the characters."

"Happy #1 sets the stage perfectly for what should be a bloody, foul-mouthed tale with a nice twist coming from the soon to be departed writer of Action Comics. If you are looking for a slightly different read come Wednesday try Happy out."
    - Major Spoilers

"...a fun, silly take on the crime genre, with lovely art from Robertson and sterling work from [colorist Richard P.] Clark and letterer Simon Bowland. This is a professional piece of work, done by a load of professionals. In other words — it's very very good."
