SEX SECRETS, SEX CRIMINALS
New comedy series by Fraction and Zdarsky from Image Comics in September

Suzie has a secret. When she has sex, she stops time. She’s alone with this secret until she meets John, a young man with the same “gift.” In the new Image Comics series SEX CRIMINALS by Matt Fraction (SATELLITE SAM) and Chip Zdarsky, Suzie and John embark on a journey of self-discovery, intimacy, and... well, actually, they do what every time-stops-when-you-have-sex couple would do: They rob banks.

SEX CRIMINALS' sexy bank-robbing action starts in September, when Fraction and Zdarsky will take readers on a romp they won’t soon forget.

In an interview with MTV Geek at Image Expo earlier in July, writer Fraction talked about jumping into the sex comedy genre in comics.

“What is comics' The Apartment? What is comics' Some Like It Hot? It doesn’t exist,” he said. “I love the genre in another medium, but it seemed like a completely virgin territory, no pun intended.”

Artist Zdarsky keeps the tone snappy and fun with full-color art that’s the opposite of grim-’n’-gritty.

“I'm trying to make pages feel like candy, so you want to eat them, but also maybe sleep with them?” he said. “I wanted it to look as fun as it sounds: a bright, punchy book. ‘Adult’ is too synonymous with ‘dark’ in comics and I think Matt and I want to make sex fun again ... in the book ... just ... just in the book. Sex should be dark drudgery in real life."

SEX CRIMINALS #1 will be in stores on September 4 and can be pre-ordered now from the July issue of Previews (Diamond code JUL130403).
