Capture Creatures #1 Second Print Cover by Katy Farina
December 19, 2014 (Los Angeles, Calif.) - KaBOOM!, the all-ages imprint of award-winning publisher BOOM! Studios, is pleased to announce that Capture Creatures #1 from Tiny Kitten Teeth creators Frank Gibson and Becky Dreistadt has sold out at the distributor level. The publisher has rushed to a second printing.
Comic book fans should bear in mind that first printings of Capture Creatures #1 may still be found at the local comic shop nearest you. Not sure where to find your nearest comic retailer? Use comicshoplocator.com or findacomicshop.com to find one!
Based
on a yearlong blog challenge and following a successfully funded
Kickstarter for an art book and a widely attended gallery showing of
Dreistadt’s original painted art, Capture Creatures is
a heartwarming story about over one hundred strange creatures that
suddenly appear on Earth and the two teens who will do whatever they can
to keep them safe and figure out where they came from.
Praise for Capture Creatures #1:
“...Capture Creatures takes the fun of Pokémon
and marries it to a story about conservation rather than battle—giving
kids not only a world to explore, but a framework for loving that world.
I'd definitely recommend it for any member of the all-ages audience.” -
CBR
“...an
entertaining opening issue that looks like it could really take off
with kids, while giving anyone looking for a fun, wholesome comic plenty
to enjoy too.” - Panels and Pixels
“...kids
will very happily gobble up this book, and I can already see the
collectible card game being introduced, maybe with some cute action
figures…” - What’cha Reading
“...Dreistadt does a great job of infusing Capture Creatures #1 with tons of that charm.” - Omnicomic
“...decidedly sweet, charming and quite catchy.” - Coverless Reviews
Capture Creatures #1 second print ships with a new cover by Katy Farina and carries a retail price of $3.99 with a Diamond Code of OCT148462. Final orders close for retailers on December 22nd. It is anticipated to be in stores on January 14th.
