January 21, 2008 - Seattle, WA – Laura Vandervoort, the actress who portrays "Kara" (Supergirl) on the popular TV show "Smallville," has joined the ever-expanding guest list of the Emerald City ComiCon, the premier comic book and pop culture convention in the Pacific Northwest.
"'Smallville' is shot just a couple hours north of Seattle and we've had many requests for an actor from the show to appear, so we’re very excited to have the lovely and talented Ms. Vandervoort out to the convention this year," says Organizer Jim Demonakos. "In addition, Jamie Bamber, who plays 'Apollo' on the new 'Battlestar Galactica,' will also be appearing."
Dozens of new guests have also been added over the last month including Mike Choi (Uncanny X-Men), Aaron Lopresti (Wonder Woman), Alex Saviuk (Amazing Spider-Man Dailies), Peter Bagge (Hate), Dustin Nguyen (Detective Comics), Stephane Roux (Birds of Prey), Todd Dezago (Perhapanauts), Craig Rousseau (X-Men: First Class), Jen Van Meter (JSA Classified), Ellen Forney (Lust), Paul Chadwick (Concrete), Philip Tan (Spawn), Gail Simone (Wonder Woman), James Stokoe (Won Ton Soup), Brian Haberlin (Spawn) and many others.
