Wil Wheaton Crushes Former Child Actor Stereotypes at the Phoenix Comicon

Phoenix ? Phoenix Comicon announces the appearance of Wil Wheaton at
the January 25-27th convention at the Mesa Convention Center.
?Wil Wheaton is a renaissance man and pop culture icon for the
information age,? said
Convention Director Matt Solberg. ?And he used to play Wesley Crusher.?
Renowned blogger Wil Wheaton currently divides his time between
writing and voice acting. His self-named blog, www.wilwheaton.net,
has won awards from places including Forbes and C|Net, and he serves
as a weekly columnist for Suicide Girls. He has also appeared as a
contributor on VH1, MSNBC, SPIKE TV, and has been a special
correspondent for BBC Radio. His cartoon voiceover work includes
Aqualad on WB?s ?Teen Titans,? Cosmic Boy on ?Legion of Superheros?,
and video game voiceover work includes Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas,
Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories, Ghost Recon 2, and Everquest
2. His popular non-fiction books include Dancing Barefoot, Just a
Geek, and the forthcoming Do You Want Kids With That? Despite his
many acting roles, including a recent appearance on ?CSI?, he is most
recognized as Wesley Crusher on ?Star Trek: The Next Generation?.

?Who knew that little Gordie from Stand by Me would grow up to voice
Richard Burns in the Grand Theft Auto video games?? asked Programming
Director Joe Boudrie, ?I can?t wait to meet the voice behind the games.?

Wheaton will be participating in panels, signing autographs and
meeting with fans throughout the weekend.
